I go to this gym almost every week day, and have been for a little over a year. This gym is always clean, the machines are fixed fast if they break, and the employees are extremely nice. This golds is huge for a downtown location, but be aware, there’s no pool. There’s a sauna though! They also validate parking in the Littlefield garage for up to 2 hours. A little expensive, but what can you expect for a location and gym like this! Awesome place.

I liked the wide range of equipment this gym has. Plenty of free weights as well machines. Nice variety of cardio equipment as well. This gym has several levels, so take the time to explore. I did not care for their use of styrofoam for thier smoothies. Please switch that to something more sustainable

I travel a lot so I’m always looking for a real gym near my hotels. This one came up as a 10 minute walk so I tried it out. I thought it was a good gym. I understand the comment regarding it being a bit cramped. I arrived around 1030 and up until 1130 it wasn’t too crowded. Then the lunch crowd arrived and it got tight quickly. It started to thin about 1300-1330. I was there until 1400. But for the space they have it was a very clean nice facility. It’s a bit awkward finding your way around the maze of stairs. Some of you might be old enough to remember the game mouse trap with all its turns and twists. Thats kind of what it reminded me of. There were 3 flat, 2 incline, and 1 decline bench. Dumbbells go up to 150lbs for you stronger folks. There were 3 squat racks and 2 counterbalanced machines for squats or whatever. And a host of other machines. Due to space I think they went heavier in the machines than free weights. I’d go back again. But I’d arrive about 1-2 hours earlier. There are plenty of cardio machines but it was a short walk to Lady Bird lake and I much prefer running outside than inside. There’s also smoothie bar for when your done if you choose.I only noticed this because I read a few reviews before going to this location. Yes there are TVs on the walls, some are the Golds Gym advertising channel and others are local and national sports/news channels. However, regardless of what’s on them if you’re more concerned about that than the actual quality of the gym maybe you should rethink your priorities. Put in some headphones with soothing sounds and stop hogging the equipment while you read the scrolling conversations. You might actually see some gains in your physique vs being angry all the time. Or better yet stay home.

I was travelling to Austin on business and had a travel pass from my home Gold's Gym. The gym itself is well kept and the machines and equipment all look new. It is not as big as my home Gold's, but if I lived in this area, I would get a membership. Also, the people that work there seem very nice.

If you are considering a Gold’s Gym membership, CONSIDER ANOTHER GYM!!! Read the fine print in the contract carefully & expect to pay for another 30 days AFTER you cancel your membership. DO NOT SET UP automatic payment using a credit card!Last summer, I had knee surgery. You cannot cancel you membership by phone or email so I hobbled into Ben White location on crutches to fill out their form. When I asked young associate at front desk if my card would be charged again, twice he replied “No” so imagine my surprise when my card was charged again!I went to see Manager Sunny Reese who could see I was on crutches yet told me to read fine print in my contract. She expected me to go back to my surgeon and return back with a written physician’s statement.I filed a dispute through my Capital One credit card & they refunded charges. However, I found a sympathetic manager who also got me a refund. However, “Gold’s Gym” was only noted once on my charge card so I did not realize that my card was credited twice.Over my 3 years of membership, I estimate that I paid approximately $4000+ for dues and personal training, NEVER had a late payment since it was automatically paid by my credit card. Instead of contacting me about this clerical error, Gold’s Gym charged me a mysterious (punitive?) $40.00 charge and sent my account to a COLLECTIONS AGENCY! I have an 832 credit score so this experience has been very stressful for me.I have tried to resolve this issue for more than a month. Gold’s Gym’s “Customer Care” does not accept phone calls only emails. I receive cold, impersonal, unsigned emails. They did not reply to Capital One in writing during the 90 day period so refund Capital One gave me was not put back on my card.I recommend that you choose another gym (YMCA? 24 Hour Fitness?) where management may treat their clients much better with empathy & respect.

The best gym in Austin. (I haven't been to any of the other gyms in Austin but I don't think I need to). I can't be happier with the service, the team, the equipment and the price for all the amenities offered. I haven't even been to a Gold's that has a whirlpool and I don't care, I have everything I need at the downtown location. I'd like to give a shout out to Joseph, my personal trainer who got me started on a routine that's added an inch to my build all around in 2 - 3 months! Lovin' it.

Decent gym they have alot of equipment and plenty for space at least for the time I went it was not super crowded. I only went for one day, the day pass is a little expensive at $15 plus tax.

Great experience here. Its clean and they've got a great selection of machines to workout from that appear to be well maintained. The bathrooms are much cleaner compared to most other gyms. The setting in the middle of downtown also makes it a much more enjoyable experience.

Very busy when I go (630 am) if you want to use free weights. Also you have to pay for towel service (15 a month). Otherwise it's a fine gym. Well maintained, clean equipment. There are so many people that try to hold machines by putting their stuff on them while they do another exercise. I wish the staff would try to enforce rules.

It's about as good as a gym gets in downtown locations. The staff is nice, the equipment is well kept and extensive. The only complaint is the randomness of the cardio equipment, some is upstairs some down and since I was a day pass business traveler it made it a little hard to find. That said, if I lived here I'd join this gym.
