Given that it's a gym in the heart of the city, it's impressive how creative they got in fitting their standard layout into the space they have. The machine-to-free-weight ratio is slightly more in the machine's favor, but there's still enough for me to hit all the muscle groups. The Cardio machines are at ground level and the facility is always super clean.Living 25 minutes north of here, I consider this place an occasional treat just for the locale alone.

Honestly, bang for your buck this place is pretty good. They don't have a pool, but they do have a dry Sauna. The facility and equipment are relatively new and decently clean. The nice thing about a membership here is that it applies to all locations. The downside of that perk is that not all locations have towel service if you pay for it. All in all, I would highly recommend for anyone who works downtown.

This gym does the best it can with the space it has, although I still feel it is cramped - particularly from 5pm to 7pm.It is relatively new still, and is thus clean and well-lit, although the weight room could do with a water fountain.Service is almost always friendly and helpful, and the manager is excellent and has directly assisted me when needed. The location is very convenient to working downtown.

Before joining Gold's Gym, I worked out at an expensive boutique gym with top of the line equipment, beautiful locker rooms, towel service, incredible classes, etc so I had pretty low expectations coming in. Overall, I have been very impressed with this Gold's Gym location. The equipment is maintained well, the staff is very friendly and the gym is clean. And best of all, I'm saving $140 a month! I wish I could say the same for the other Gold's Gym locations in the area but luckily for me, this is the closest and most convenient for me.

This location is my primary gym and while the facility itself is very nice, it is not big enough to accommodate the late afternoon/early evening weekday traffic. Almost every machine, bench and rack is in use with the area getting overcrowded. The squat racks especially are always in use and have lines (even in off-peak hours). Aside from that, the gym itself is well maintained and the staff I have interacted with are very friendly and helpful.

Great facility with great equipment, great staff, and great service. The location is perfect for those who work/live downtown. The only thing that's kept me from fully ditching my Planet Fitness membership though is the the hours. 8 to 8 …

Gym is updated and I loved that it had state of the art equipment. Multiple levels were a little confusing but the layout is nice.. I wish more free parking was available, since I live in Corpus Christi, I didn't have a need to add the parking to my monthly membership. Carlos at the front desk was super nice and helpful!

Nice equipment but this gym was horribly designed! There is a confusing layout that requires you to go up and down several series of stair cases, and one very narrow staircase to the locker room where you have to wait for people to finish using it before you can use them to get to the locker room. There are NO water fountains on the gym floor and they close at 9pm, which aren't very flexible hours for those that live downtown.

The old gym was great and deserves 4 stars, but the new location is not so great. They bragged about how big it was going to be, however there seems to be so much wasted space and the layout makes no sense. They invested more on making it look trendy versus making it useful. They lack essential gym equipment, no water fountain on the gym floor, the locker room is extremely cramped and tiny, terrible ab section, very cramped weight area; I have used hotel gyms that are better than this location. I would recommend finding another option and in the meantime hope they work on their flaws.

Great place to go workout if you live close to downtown. They have parking just around the corner in a parking garage and will validate your parking for up to 2 hours (if you add it to your plan). The equipment and locker room are usually clean. As other users have commented, this gym, as the case with all golds gyms, can have a lot of men, but if that doesn't bother you, it can be a nice place. The trainers here are always really professional and drive you towards your goal. I recommend a trainer named T. He is a great guy and really pushed me toward success while still remaining respectful.
