The staff at OTF at their Arbor Town location was great. No complaints. I went for a month and enjoyed every class but unfortunately found the schedule for the classes I wanted didn't line up with my work schedule and needed to cancel. Heads up....if you go in to cancel then cancel. Their practice is to recommend freezing the account instead of canceling and they are very good at their job. We all want to be healthy and we want to attend classes but if you know it isn't for you or won't fit your schdule then take it from me... cancel do not freeze. It will end up costing you even more. As with everything.... read the fine print. The dates of a freeze and cancellation determines whether there will be one or two more charges to your credit card. I should have paid closer attention to reviews regarding their billing methods. Happy with the classes but very disappointed they didn't do what was best for the client.

I have been going to Orangetheory Arbor Town Square for 3 years and love it! The workouts are challenging but fun. The coaches are top notch giving the corrections and encouragement that I need to keep going. I really enjoy the community atmosphere and friends I have made along the way. I highly recommend OTF ATS!

UPDATE APRIL 2019:This Orangetheory location has some great coaches, and the new treadmills have been upgraded (early 2019) to include the individual displays that make it much easier to see your statistics (heart rate zone, interval distance, cumulative distance, etc.) if you're wearing the compatible heart rate monitor. The rowers are also all new as of early 2019, and thankfully they're now secured in place for proper spacing and to keep them from drifting with heavy rowing. My only complaint about this location is that the weight room is pretty crowded with 15 stations. A couple years ago there were only 12 stations, but the move to 15 stations made things a bit tight in there. Most members are pretty good at being respectful and coordinating space needs with their neighbors, and everyone is very friendly. This location is now also (as of early April 2019) using treadmill/rower/floor cards, which is good because it reduces the crowding around the door and politely rushing to your preferred starting spot. Grab a card when you sign in. Overall, this Orangetheory offers a great gym environment and ALWAYS A GREAT WORKOUT! It does seem like the workouts have been more varied lately in the weight room. It hasn't felt like "leg/butt day" as disproportionately in the last couple months. My main advice is to CHALLENGE yourself with the weights you select to make the most of the limited weight room time, and if you want more weight room time... take 2G classes instead of 3G classes.UPDATE JAN 2019:I've lost quite a bit of weight since joining in JULY 2018, and I came in 3rd in the weight loss challenge last fall. However, I do have some suggestions for Orangetheory in general. The workout is always great, but I do feel like almost every time I attend it's some kind of "leg/butt day." As a male trying to build his upper body as well, I've had to supplement my OTF membership with another gym membership and some personal training sessions. I go to OTF ATS 3x/week, so it would be really helpful if I could know in advance what the plan is going to be for the week... which days will be leg-focused, chest-focused, back/shoulders-focused, etc. With the current OTF scheme of keeping things a secret from their members, it's hard for members to really achieve specific goals for their body. PLEASE consider providing some kind of general overview calendar that gives either a 1-week or 2-week look-ahead at body parts that will be targeted so that those of us who are past the "I just want to lose some pounds" phase can stay engaged and motivated. I love OTF, but I've started to wonder if it has an expiration date for me. Also, please provide a greater quantity of clinics on specific types of exercises/activities. I found the rowing clinic very helpful, but there should be more of them for rowing and also for things like training for a 5K, and weight lifting form when trying to go heavier with weights for muscle gains. I have spoken to other members who say they'd like to use heavier weights, but in the fast-paced environment of the classes, they are afraid to try heavier weights because the coaches have so much going on that they can't possibly give enough guidance to everyone at the same time. If there were form clinics for weight lifting, the absence of the simultaneous treadmill/rower use and loud music would allow coaches to teach people how to properly lift heavier to achieve their physique goals without hurting themselves.ORIGINAL REVIEW:The workout here is always great, but I prefer the TV (splat board) placement in some other locations. In this location, it's very difficult when on the treadmills to look at either TV to see your stats (at least for me) without risking losing your balance because you have to look so far to either side. I understand that there are equipment upgrades in the works that will address this issue, but it's still an issue for me as of this writing (Jan 2019). Try coaches Josh “J2”, Chandra, or Rene... my favorites at this location.

I never went to a gym in my life more than a month. Nothing kept me going until I joined OTF.Its been more than an year now with OTF arbor town square😃 yayyyy!!!! I really enjoy my workouts and the feeling all day after. I love taking classes with Mary as she has that pleasant positive smile/vibe whenever you talk to her about improving yourselves. She is the best😊 I joined OTF mainly for the weight loss but now its no more about the weight loss for me as I enjoy how I feel after my OTF workouts😃

OTF at ATS is my go-to studio for the Austin Area. The studio manager Anthony is beyond helpful and is always equipped with a joke or witty comment to make you smile. The coaches here are knowledgeable, enthusiastic, personable, and know how to smoothly run transitions/blocks in class. (That last one might seem weird BUT trust that if you go to a class where it’s not smooth… you will know) Plus, the coach’s playlists (Josh 'J2', Mary, Nikki, Morgan) are HOT FIRE FLAMES Y’ALL! Nothing can get you through a 60-minute workout like great beats and smooth transitions.

Awesome workout! I took my first class with Rene he was great answering all my questions and concerns. Morgan’s class was really good too, checking in with me and her playlist was awesome! Corbin gave me options on the treadmill since I’m not a runner and that made the class really enjoyable!

There are many choices when it comes to working out but not often are you lucky enough to also have a "community" adopt you in and want nothing more then for you to succeed. Here it is "family" that encourages growth, strength and endurance to accomplish any goals mentally or physically you may want to achieve. The staff goes beyond out of their way to make sure you don't "want" but "need" to sign up for the unlimited package just so you can see them too! The coaches create a perfect atmosphere where you can focus on you or enjoy with a friend (only time to chat though is BEFORE or AFTER since you gotta get your splats, haha). Highly suggest joining and really will become a lifestyle change once you finish your 1st FREE class!!!

The workout is never the same so it’s always challenging your body to keep changing and getting stronger. The workouts push you to be the best athlete you can be! I love how they are easily modified based on your ability level. The person next to me can be running at 10 mph and me at 7 mph, but our heart rates are in the same orange zone.

My experience with OrangeTheory from booking my first class to the end of my workout was amazing. The customer service and welcoming environment by the staff was incredible. I first got a text the day of my scheduled class by a staff personnel asking if I had any questions and that I was to come in 30 minutes early to visit with the Manager before my class. They set up a profile for me where they asked questions like, "How often do you work out?" or "What are your main goals and what are barriers that are keeping you from reaching your goals." The Manager, Anthony, was super personable and explained the mission of OrangeTheory and how their method for working out is successful for weight loss or any type of goal you are trying to reach. All of the staff and Coaches were welcoming and introduced themselves. The coach herself took me personally to the workout room to explain the workout we were going to do and how to use all of the equipment before the class began. The workout started with warming up on the equipment we would be using. The workout consisted of cardio and weight training as we moved to different sections of the gym. I love this!! I love variety in my workout cause I know that will trigger fat loss. As our workout concluded, the Coach ended on an amazing note as we were stretching by giving us a pep talk and motivating us with great words of appreciation. After stretching the Coach, Mary took the time to explain my results based on my heart rate monitor and what everything meant. She then escorted me to the front desk back to the Manager where I totally signed up for a membership. Hands-down the best workout and experience!!

I will admit to being nervous. I’ve tried a million different workout routines before and they never took. OTF is really helping me make progress and feel good about it. The workouts are great, but the supportive and fun coaches and studio staff make it phenomenal.
