An outstanding community of friendly, welcoming people who can also fold you up in your clothes and then give you precise instruction on how to do the same thing to your friends. All kidding aside, these people are amazing teachers, athletes and coaches. Coach Mike is supportive and very eloquent in his instruction and he’s not alone. All of the upper belts are encouraging, friendly and capable.I highly recommend this gym to anyone looking for self defense training, athletic competition, improvement in physical and mental health or even just a welcoming, positive community and environment.

I'm a current We Defy Foundation recipient. I selected Egley Team Boise for my training location. I've been here a little over 2 months now and couldn't be happier with my choice in training facility. The gym is very clean and the mats are maintained very well. Restrooms are clean and there are sanitation posters around the gym to help remind people to be clean. The front desk staff are very kind and welcoming. All of the instructors are patient and very welcoming. They are all very knowledgeable and motivated to teach. It's not just something you see. It's something you feel. Coach Egley and Coach Vaughn are very fun to train with. They both have passion and real commitment to teaching and training. They are very humble as well. If you are a considering joining ETB, ill say this. Stop considering and commit to bettering yourself. This is a great place to begin your change.

Came for a drop in class, since I’m new to the area. The first thing I noticed was how clean everything was and how nice the ladies at the front desk were. They got me checked in and gave me a run down of everything, which I appreciated. The instruction was very clear and had some wrestling aspects mixed in, which I enjoyed. After drilling several positions, the class was opened up to sparring. Everyone I rolled with was great and very respectful. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience.

I came to Boise a day before my competition. My brother just started bjj and goes here. They welcomed me to their 6am class with open arms. The instructor was awesome!

I'm highly impressed with Egley American jujitsu. The owners are wonderful people that give back to the whole community. Not just the jujitsu community but the whole community of Boise. The instructors are also very knowledgeable and understanding yet Savage on the mats. I've been training jiu jitsu for 7 years now and I would have no problem recommending this school to anyone from brand new beginners to veterans.

I’m from Fresno CA. I went to Boise on a business trip for work and seen Egley Jui Jitsu was across from my hotel. So I went to see if I could train a couple days, and let me tell you, I had a great time. They welcomed me with opens arms. Friendly, kind, the gym had a great vibe and the technique that was taught was great. Took the new moves back home and was able to capitalize on them.

I visit Boise regularly to see family, and was looking for a gym with nogi classes to drop in while I’m in town. Egley did not disappoint. Their coaches and students were extremely welcoming and provided a great mix of early students hungry to learn; and experienced practitioners that provided high level training and a great opportunity to exchange knowledge and technique.I can’t wait to visit again next time I’m in Boise. Thank you again, Mike and Emily! I really appreciate the hospitality.

I attended the beginner course at Egley Train, and it was an awesome experience! I had always wanted to try Jiu Jitsu, but was a bit too intimated to just jump right in. The beginner course they offered was perfect for me. I came in with zero knowledge of Jiu Jitsu or wrestling and was quite out of shape, but the team at Egley made it as welcoming and easy as possible to get started. It was quite a challenge, but has turned into a hobby I am looking forward to continuing with.So my recommendation is, if you are considering joining or taking the beginner course even a little bit, do it.

Mike Egley is an amazing coach---a super technical practitioner, a gifted instructor, and a caring human being.Boise has a thriving jiu-jitsu community, but Egley Train is incomparable even in such strong market. Egley trained at Carlos Gracie and then got his black belt from Keenan Cornelius. He brings a wealth of experience and technical prowess in both gi and no gi training. He's incredibly well versed in the fundamentals but also has a gift for understanding and incorporating advanced and emerging techniques. The gym is clean, safe, and welcoming. The location is easy to access right off the freeway interchange at Cole Rd. The instruction is precise, practical, and digestible. The open mat rolling has got a great tempo--perfectly balanced with technique, energy, and safety. And the team has the right cultural balance of respect and care without being overly stuffy or stringently hyper-traditional.All levels will benefit from training here, whether your a hobbyist or a competitor----a novice or advanced. You'll be welcome and you'll have a home.Do yourself a favor and check out this incredible new gym.

The owners are very kind and personable. Something I love is it is family run.. all the dedication and time Mike and Emily put into this gym is special. The team is welcoming and patient with new people. My son loves the kid’s class ... it’s a great place to start because all the kids are newer so they are all learning at the same pace!! 😊High competition for higher belts and great for beginner white belts.Another bonus- They also have open mat on both Saturday and Sunday’s!!Check out Egley train Boise 👍🏼
