I joined lifetime fitness thinking it would be great for my family. My kids would have something else to do besides watch tv but at the time I joined I was mislead to believe that the kids play area timings were longer than they actually area. Then after some months I had to go out of state for work so i decided to freeze my account as oppose to cancelling it not realizing lifetime would automatically activate my account based on when I said I might be back. I happen to look at my cc statement and see that I’ve been charged 150 each for the past two months. I call lifetime asking them to credit the charges as I have not used the gym or even been in the state for several months and was told there is nothing they can do. I said I can provide proof that I have been out of state and in your system it shows that I have not visited the gym during these months and simply asked to charge me the normal fee to put the account on hold and removes the monthly charges of 150. I was told there is nothing they can do which is impossible for me to believe I understand polices and all that but it’s simple custome service, the reason my account has been on hold and I have been paying a fee was because I intended to come back but after this I’m cancelling my memebership and have not intention to recommend or return to the gym. And even worse is to cancel there is another 30 day notice so I will have to pay another months worth even though I am unable to attend the gym and “no exceptions” can be made for special situations. So im losing almost 500 bucks for nothing because lifetime does not make exception even though I placed my account on hold and I haven’t been to the gym in months.

I have had nothing but positive experiences at Lifetime. The people who work there are friendly and always willing to help. I have worked with Rudy and Ryan and they are both amazing at what they do. I have learned so much from both of them. I would recommend Lifetime to my friends and family.

We had been member for 2 years. The main reason we have this membership is because winter is so long and the kids get bored inside the house. One complain with this place is that the water fountain in the kids pool is always turned off and same with indoor pool slides. Is not only because is summer they were turned off most of the winter. The other complain is that you see many guys without kids getting dress in the family room this always a OMG watch out for your kids, please don't allowed this to happen. For this reasons they get a 4🌟

Had an unpleasant encounter with a customer service rep. General manager nowhere to be found. Could not even extend an apology. I guess it’s a sign of poor management. The parking lot has a lot of pot holes. If you go there in the evening, they most of the time Tun out of towels. The cafe takes about 15-min to give you your order. Hot tub scum line not cleaned as often as it should. Highly overpriced for a service that should be above most.

Been a member for a few years and not much has changed except the amount of the membership. Since I don't use the pools or the basketball courts, I really overpay for the privilege of using equipment that is fair to poor shape. They have a huge overhead number which is why they are 7x the monthly rate as most places but if you don't use all that stuff, what's point. Staff pretty much only talks to you if they think they can extract more money out of you i.e. personal training or spa treatments. It's shame, I used to like this place.

This place is awesome! In reading some of the reviews I think some people need to take a step back and enjoy the place. I have been to many gyms and this place is like a D1 college setup plus a climbing wall, multiple pools, and a spa! There are too many amenities to list. The staff is also amazing and very helpful. Todd was very helpful and accommodating. Keep up the 5 star performance. Great job.

Gym is no longer 24 hours. Doesn’t work for me any longer. My two workout buddies and I all would routinely workout at 1am 5 nights a week. I guess we will be joining that new anytime fitness in Plainfield. Oh well.

I've been a member at several gyms over the years and this one by far is the friendliest one I've ever gone. Love this place, just became a member 5 months ago. This place needs new water fountains though...they are horrible.

Signed up for 2 month which was $265 TOTAL per the account manager that signed us up. We never authorized automatic withdraw because we knew we would be leaving. We paid $265 on June 27th and July 1st was charged another $137! We called 3 different times to cancel or get a partial refund. An account rep told us the account was canceled and I am being charged yet again for the month of August. I feel completely lied to by the account manger when we specifically said we would only be there for 2 months. Tammy was nothing but rude when I called for a 5th time to get this resolved.*Edited to add that I was in contact via email with Steven Truco and as soon as I stated all the above he conveniently stopped talking to me. So, that leads me to believe you guys knew what you were doing and you don't care.

VExtremely disappointed! I joined lifetime in the beginning of 2016. Like most people went a few times at 1st to not at all. At the beginning of this year I had some new years resolutions & fitness goals so started up more frequently this past January & was excited to do so. Besides the dues continued monthly charged to my card & I figured it was a waste of money if I wasnt actually going to use the gym. Just as before I really had no direction and wanted to know how to properly use the equip etc. so signed up for personal training. I was shown & given only 2 sheets to sign a contract for (we’ll get to this later). I was to start the following Wednesday at 5pm & retain that day/time. Did the 1st session and all was great! The next Tuesday came around and less than 24hrs the trainer texted me that he had a meeting would 6pm the next day work? Ok no problem! Then proceeded to basically say lets keep 6pm! Ummm no hold on just last week you had 5pm completely open yet now you want to permanently change me to 6! I had a hunch that a new customer was signed up after me and my 5pm slot was given to them). So went another session then I had to cancel and oh I didnt do it 24hrs or less so am still getting charged! Are you kidding me! You can do it but I can’t! So I wrote in to the center with my concerns and the PT manager contacted me stating my 5pm slot was secured no worries. Ok great (sarcasm) but definitely didn’t have much trust or faith in the PT after BOTH of those situations! I went another session or 2 & even signed up for the 60 day challenge etc. Which of course at sign up was pushed to purchase this and that etc. Some of the stuff I already had and of course they were sure that stuff was expired so I may as well get it from them. Though MY FAULT I should have declined and Actually went home and checked the expirations because sure enough when I got home I had a couple months left on the expirations. I get it their trying to sell and push their products but after ALL my other issues I felt I was visiting a used car lot not a gym by this point! Between the mistrust, work, etc missed some sessions and the PT said oh we can put the PT on hold for a few months. I thought GREAT! Hahahaha jokes on me because THEY STILL TRIED TO CHARGE ME! Never ONCE was that mentioned in those texts. I assumed ALL sessions were squared away and charges would resume in June! Oh nope! I got some BS story from both the PT AND PT MANAGER that I did not give a 30 day notice! I requested a copy of my contract & was then sent 4 pages 2 of which I never saw, initialed, or anything! MORE SHADINESS! However EVEN with that being said my sessions were ON HOLD NOT CANCELLED! No where on the contract even the 2 magical sheets that appeared does it say you will be charged even when on hold! I saw the 24hr thing and if you actually cancel the PT but I was specifically told “ok the next 3 months payments will be frozen”. That was it! MY PT was on hold NOT CANCELLED! Luckily for me I have everything in writing as well had lost the card I had on file with them so wasnt charged, however my account balance is almost $400! So I email in again requesting the GYM MANAGER contact me and never heard back! After the poor customer service I am cancelling my membership & intend on dropping a CHECK for what I owe in monthly dues plus next months dues per my initial contract when signing up for the gym and thats it! I WILL NEVER USE LIFETIME AGAIN! I was lied to, mislead, & they are trying to enforce my “on hold” as the cancelling clause! TOTAL SHADINESS!
