This gym went from ok, to bad, to worse. It was much cleaner before the “upgrade” to the bigger location but it seems to have gone downhill since they moved to the bigger location, it constantly smells, machines remain broken for long periods of time and it’s just ridiculously overcrowded, even Sunday nights that use to be empty are full of teenage kids overcrowding the benches, good luck trying to stick to a program because at Xsport you’ll have to use whatever is available that day, wanted to hit legs? Too bad hit the ab crunch machine because that’s the only thing not being used

was here for years, thought the new location would have some upgrades, i was wrong. the price of basic membership kept raising for what? old equipment, no pool, no sauna, and it doesn't seem like anything ever gets clean here. dust bunnys, dirt, and chalk everywhere. wrappers in the same place in locker room for over a week. half the dumbell weights were missing and were never replaced when i was there. i thought i upgraded to have guest privileges, but no, the one step up from basic only offers tanning and an old, dirty massage chair that works only half the time and full of crumbs and hair. they would haggle anyone they thought was trying to sneak in or upsell them. the employees were dismissive and could barely be bothered with you needing any help. so i tried to downgrade, they said i have to pay the sign up fee... again? because you're technically paying for a new membership? it was over $100. almost 200 if i remember correctly since there wasn't a promo going on, i said no thanks I'll just cancel, for $10 which is also ridiculous. where does all this money they're milking from people go? the guy asked why i wanted to cancel and he would offer a lower rate to downgrade instead.. huh. i decided to go to VASA in joliet, it's a further drive but I'm paying the same amount of money for so much more. there's always clean equipment, pool, sauna, steam room, red light therapy, and so many machines! also some free classes and consultations they offer with a new membership, and rewards for refferals. 2 guests for $15 more a month. i recommend VASA, I've been there for a few months now and so sorry i wasted so many years at a gym that didn't try like Xsport.

Decent gym but I really don't expect much just to work out then go home.. So most of my experiences were ok.. I go in today scan my card.. The employee at the front counter stops me.. Takes 10 mins to tell me my membership has expired and I don't have a card on file to sign back up.. Mind you they've been getting paid the whole time I was a member.. So I had to leave without working out..

This is the worst gym ever. I cancelled my membership and they took the cancellation fee but kept taking money from my account and I went and talked to them multiple times and they didn’t stop taking money . Their service is also extremely bad stay away

It always reaks of urine. Very very urine-y smell to the entire facility. Old men walk naked and bare foot through the urine to go from the front lockers to the urine. To the lockers, I mean, through the urine on the ground and all surfaces around you. It makes my skin crawl and is a shame that there's nowhere else more suitable in my area to workout at, so I don't get as much exercise as I need, because the gym reaks of urine.

It's a gym, a very social gym. They have everything you truly need and it's always clean when I go there.

When I first joined, the heavy bag area was great. Now there is 5-6 bags that have fallen down and have just been laying on the floor for months. Seems like a pretty easy repair and I wish they would hang them back up already, especially when they are increasing membership fees. All the heavy bags still hanging are right next to metal poles and therefore are not safe to use.

I initially gave a 4-star review, but it dropped to 1 star due to a negative experience with Luke, the general manager at the location. During our interaction, Luke's behavior was extremely rude, going as far as rolling his eyes while I spoke, twice!! This conduct was witnessed not only by me but also by Jadae, who works there, and other customers. Luke excused his behavior by claiming his mouth was inflamed, which I found hard to believe, as I'm a dentist and have never seen a patient react in such a manner due to mouth inflammation.Despite having positive experiences with my personal trainer, Ryan, who did an excellent job, and Jadae, who encouraged me to get a personal trainer, I felt compelled to leave a 1-star review due to Luke's unacceptable customer service. It's disheartening that after being a loyal member for over a year, visiting multiple locations and even receiving personal training twice, my business was not appreciated. Moreover, I discovered that other gym members had also complained about Luke's rude behavior, which highlights a concerning pattern.

Water fountain is always out of service so don’t plan on filling your water bottle unless you want to use the urine crusted bathroom faucets. Also the only gym to be missing a 90lb and 100lb dumbbell for over a year. Also dumbbell faces are ripped off so you can’t see the weight. Some how they justified increasing membership rates.

Poor customer service and persuasion method, very pushy with their plans, and they wouldn’t allow me to cancel my membership right away even though I have confirm of my number and name. They put my address incorrect into their system and kept demanding to cancel. They don’t deserve my respect. Not meant for me.Im glad I got myself out of that situation.
