This place is awesome. I was nervous to join as I’ve never done CrossFit in my life. Everyone here has been so wonderful (coaches/athletes) and it’s been a really welcoming experience. I’m so thankful I joined. I definitely urge others to try it out, especially if you’ve been on the fence for a while. When I first joined, all of the coaches knew my name, and treated me as if I had been a long time client of theirs. Obviously they go above and beyond to recognize everyone who is a part of this gym. Highly recommend.

Great coaching, great community. Focused on form and technique above all else for long term gains and health. I'd recommend to anyone interested in dynamic, Olympic weight lifting.

I had a wonderful drop-in experience here with Dave as my coach. Dave followed the basics of Crossfit Coaching to the letter. We had a thorough warmup, plenty of time to practice the movement of the day with Dave’s guidance, and time inside the workout still for coaching and correcting as we lifted. I travel almost every weekend for work and drop-in a lot and very few gyms practice CrossFit like it was meant to be practiced, but Roots is one of them. If I lived in Boulder I would workout here!

Having done CrossFit at other boxes for over five years and not seeing much progress, I feel like at CrossFit Roots I am starting over again, the right way. The coaches are dedicated to seeing you improve, even if that means calling you out on the same movements over and over again. They love to see you make progress, and the coaches genuinely cheer you on every step of the way, no matter how fast or slow you are.The programming is different from the typical (warm up, then strength, then WOD) that I have experienced, it incorporates skill work into the programming instead of leaving it up to you to find that time, it's a good kind of challenge. There are clinics and specialized classes that target specific areas you may want to work on to help you reach your health goals.Everyone is welcoming and you will no doubt find a friend in no time. The environment at this CrossFit makes you want to be a better athlete. Thanks Nicole, Eric, and coaches for giving your best to your athletes every day of the week.
