Good athletic vibe. Nice people. Generous space for equipment and athletes. Was at open gym so didn't get to see a class but would sure like to come back for that.

Great workout sessions. Coachs are respectful, kind and friendly. Nice facility to bring children, take a shower after and they sell snacks!

Did CrossFit for just two weeks at another gym before it got shutdown by COVID. Started up again a few years later at Roots based on a recommendation of an acquaintance.CrossFit Roots stands out compared to the other gym in respect to the level of structure with the programs and staff, and level of coaching, and level of energy. Clientele is also very good. No annoying bravado members and a good mix of women and men.I can honestly say that all the coaches are amazing. At first I assumed some were better than others like most places in life, but really every single coach is amazing and I get great coaching no matter who it is. I never have to think about it. Pretty amazing feat in my opinion. I think it shows the level of passion, seriousness, and dedication that comes from the owner Nicole (who also coaches) who sets the bar high.I didn't realize it at the time, but I was lucky to join this specific gym. Pretty cool seeing that members have been there for several years, many more than 5 years, and others more than 10 years. I never heard of so many people sticking with a form of exercise like that for so long.As for the exercise in general and seeing results, I intended on only attending 2 days a week in addition to my weekend activities either mountain biking and telemark skiing, but it's just too darn effective, I get far more gains from my time spent at Roots in all areas (strength, flexibility, cardio) that making progress shows quickly and has became addicting and I now try to come as much as I possibly can to maximize the momentum/gains. 5/6 days a week if I can find the time.It does such a great job at maintaining my mood, helping maintain good quality sleep, and feeling super human in daily life functional movements (lifting/playing my kids, lifting heavy items, etc), I now try to avoid having more than 1 day off from the gym.

After 5 years of continuous membership I can say this box is top-notch. Clean and organized, ample equipment, amazing coaches and athletes I can only aspire to catch up with. Everything you'd expect from a Boulder. I should note - I've dropped in at numerous boxes around the country and wish I could stumble upon something better than Roots...
