I do not recommend coming to this gym. I've been to several gyms and this is by far the worst one. Much of the equipment is is broken and it takes months for anything to get repaired. The staff don't do a whole lot because the gym is always dirty and everything is in disarray with weights and attachments on the floor. Mind you up to four staff members will be hanging out at the front desk together. No one strips the weight off of the equipment when they're finished with the machine. The prices feel deceptive because I felt like they were not up front in regards to their starting and annual fees, not to mention the $9.99 rate was hidden and never offered to us despite being the same perks as the $15 rate. Clearly just another gym that hopes you don't show up so they can collect your money. They're only busy because of the lack of options in the area. And all this is happening with some of the worst club remixes I've ever heard play overhead.

It’s ridiculous. You can’t cancel without going in and they charge even when they are closed down. It’s the worst. Dirty. Untrained staff running classes. I have emailed, called and tried to cancel online. They locked my account and refuse to help. To make matters worse they just charged a $50 fee because I’ve been “there” six months even though I went once, was disgusted and have tried to cancel four times.

I'm writing to commend and recommend personal trainer Abby Trott to any/everyone looking for a personal trainer. She is extremely knowledgeable about how to train someone, she's prepared for every session with a detailed plan/program, she's on point with her corrections while I'm training, she's both open and concerned when I have physical issues that get in the way of training and, best of all, she's very personable, friendly with an easy sense of humor. An hour of sweating and lifting goes by with almost no effort (NO - lots of effort).

From going in at 6am to trying going just before closing to avoid crowds there is seemingly no concern from staff about Covid precautions. Half of gym patrons completely remove their masks whenever they feel and staff hang around their desks paying no mind wearing their masks under their noses as well.My point is I don't expect staff to baby-sit careless gym goers, but I don't see them getting much better or proactive post-covid. lazy and unconcerned staff/ management most likely will not change. So expect less and less over time as they let the equipment and environment deteriorate.

I absolutely love this gym and all of the amenities! The staff is very courteous and I love that they have a kid care system in place so that I can bring my little one and still get an effective workout! Kudos Crunch Fitness!

Liked crunch at first, until I tried putting my account on hold. There are multiple month my wife and I paid, but they would not refund when it was their error. We have called and followed up multiple times, but still no response. Nice equipment, terrible customer service. We went somewhere else.

It would be an okay gym except that they don't seem to care at all about fixing their equipment. Now both of the only incline benches with a rack are out of order with the former of the two being "temporarily" out of order for over two weeks. If you're touring / on a free trial and notice a machine you like out of order, do not sign up - you're better off going to a different gym that actually cares about maintaining the equipment you pay [a lot of] money to use

I have never been to a more disorganized gym in my life. Weights are all over the place. Nobody puts away or cleans their equipment after use. Between the powerlifters taking an hour and a half to use a rack and the absurd number of people in the gym at any given time, it's basically a useless place. The acoustics are terrible - I can't hear the person next to me talking without screaming. There is never enough parking. NO SOCIAL DISTANCING MEASURES ARE TAKEN (November 2020). Nobody wears masks. Equipment cleanings happen maybe once daily. Every time I come here I get so unbelievably angry I want to leave and never come back. THE ONLY POSITIVE THING ABOUT CRUNCH is the membership fee $10/month with no contracts. Also it's basically in my backyard, so I really don't have another viable option for a gym.

I used their personal training services and at my90 days, cancelled due to moving out of state.I noticed I was still being charged for personal training and called their facility. I was told I needed to speak to the personal trainer manager, Abby. After weeks of trying to contact her by email and phone with no luck, I blocked crunch from taking more money out of my account.Still no call back. I finally resorted to filing a complaint on Better Business Bureau and got a call and refund from their regional director.Their facility was often times unsanitary, dirty, with no wipes at many stations. There are so many gym options in Champaign that I would 100% never go back here.
