Hey! This gym is super nice, I love the equipment in here, and all of the staff is super nice and friendly and helpful. I love coming in the morning when it's not as busy. Totally recommend coming here!

There always seems to be alot equipment broke. The urinal in the men's bathroom hasn't worked in well over a month. I would of thought for the New Year they would of had all the equipment ready to use with the increase of traffic but far from the situation.Personal trainers are amazing.

The gym itself is nice and honestly if you get the $30 membership you get unlimited tanning which is worth it in my book. HOWEVER, if you have kids and want to drop them off at the kid zone- DONT DO IT! We took our 2 kids in for the first time and wasn't even acknowledged by the crunch team member running it. The kid area is completely empty except for a TV. I went back to check on them about 15 minutes later and our kids were screaming- which is unlike them. We went in to get them/see what was wrong and the team member said she doesn't believe in consoling and was trying to push a tablet on them to get them to valm down. The Normal location at least has some toys or interactive areas for them to play but this was ridiculous. The locker rooms are also lackluster. Planet fitness is way nicer in this regard. While crunch does offer a sauna that's about the only nice thing. There's no mirrors except for by the sink and the scale looks like its from the 70s

Fix your sauna. It’s one of your best marketing tools at your disposal for the price of membership that you offer. The sauna is down far too often. It was down for a week, worked for a few days annnnnd it’s down….again. Between hygiene in the bathrooms, dust and dirt on the floors and equipment, broken spray bottles and inconsistent refills on paper towels I’m surprised more people don’t say something. Crunch has a near identical business model to Planet Fitness and PF is moving it’s location quite near to Crunch yet has infinitely more reliable cleanliness and maintenance. From a business standpoint I hope corporate sees this.

I've been coming to Crunch for about two years now. I love the gym. My rating is 3 stars because there is constantly equipment and machines broken, and they stay broken. When I started here, there was sanitation stations at almost all of the support beams. Now by the free weights, there's one paper towel dispenser. People are lazy, they're not walking clear across the gym to wipe things down. Not only that, you can guarantee that out of four cable sets, there's going to be at least 2 that are down. The Hip abduction/adduction machine stays broken. It gets fixed every couple months, stays working for a day or two and then it's out of order again. It's beyond frustrating to plan workouts around broken equipment. Other than that, the gym is a great place. Staff And clients are friendly, will help you out if you ask, or leave you alone if you don't.

I am a regular here and I been coming every day since August. I love Crunch and the staff is very friendly. I didn’t even wanna write this review, because I really like this gym, but there are some things that have been bothering me the last 2 months. First of all, as many people have stated in the recent reviews here, there are a Lot of broken machines and equipment. From both incline benches (which have been out of order for 3 months now and continuing…) to cables and other leg extension machines, you would think they would get fixed after a couple of months, but that hasn’t been the case. A major part of why I signed up for this gym and left my former gym was the sauna. Me and my friends would come here super early every morning after work and hit the sauna before and after our workouts. It’s been a month and a half since the men’s sauna got broken down, and the gym experience hasn’t been the same at all. I literally been checking every single day if it’s fixed and last week before Christmas, I was told they fixed the sauna and I actually went in that day and enjoyed a sauna session. The next day I came in only to see the note up saying the sauna is broken. I was like are they playing with me? Like it was fixed for one day after a month and a half and then it went to being broken again. It’s still down at this time and I know a lot of regulars here come for the sauna too, so it’s been a heavy disappointment so far tbh. I really like Crunch, so I really hope they read my review and act on these things quick, because a lot of people are leaving the gym because of these reasons. Hoping for a better year and a lot of changes!

I trained here for a week and was happy with this gym. The staff are friendly and helpful. The ladies bathroom was clean. The gym was never overcrowded and I found it very spacious. I’ll definitely be back when I’m in the area!

Fine gym with lots of space, however, it has some major issues. Equipment is often broken and maintenance takes sometimes weeks to fix. Worst is the state of hygiene. The gym is not the worst, but it is still filthy. There's dust everywhere, with some places looking like they were never wiped. Worst of all is the constant lack of paper towels, disinfectant spray and hand sanitizer, with the last never ever being refined in my experience. This place does not care for hygiene, they don't care to provide cleaning supplies for members to use, and there is no care to help prevent the spread of germs. I tried to contact the gym directly through their website, but was not surprised to find that it is down. That is further proof that the management does not care one bit. Bring your own cleaning supplies. Shame.

Called to cancel my membership and was told I need to come in to the Gym.I was then told that a Manager had to cancel the membership. There was no Manager on duty on Sunday so I called on Monday and he was in. I then went to the gym and the young lady at the front desk cancelled my membership with no need to see a Manager. I do not appreciate being lied to and will NEVER join a Crunch Fitness Gym again.

I canceled my service months ago, moved out of Champaign and was charged 130$. After calling to talk to the assistant manager, “nothing could be done”. I provided my cancellation date and reminded them that I have not used any of their services since, which they can clearly see in their system. Once again was informed “nothing can be done”.
