Dirty, unprofessional. countless times the same dirty stuff would be on the ground for weeks at a time. I was a member for a few months and got athletes foot twice from their shower(they don’t clean them) also it’s a college gym so they are all in kahoots, very stuck up vibes hated every second. And they “cleaned” the spa one singular time in the several months I went there. Lazy workers but what do you expect from people who make 11$ an hour.

I don't know why people $h!t on this place. It's a great lifters gym. People just have to look past the "Dude Bros" and go at a less hectic time. Other than that, great prices to get healthy.

Surprisingly always a steady crowd, in two weeks I've been everyday except 1 at random different times.. and the crowd is always there.. the equipment is everything you need, could have dropped a few useless ones for more of the heavily used ones.. but all and all a solid franchised gym.

Love this place…top gym to work out at especially if you either work late or have kids this is the go to gym! Favorite thing about it is that during the week all amenities are open 24/7 from tanning to getting a hydro message you can pick anytime you want!

I recently started personal training with Amanda M and I do not regret it! She is so awesome and really works with me to help me achieve my goals, if you're looking for a personal trainer I would definitely check her out. The property itself is also very well maintained. All in all I am definitely glad with my decision to come here.

Incredibly difficult to communicate with this location, especially regarding a cancellation. I've called multiple times, sent emails, and written a letter (at their request) to cancel my memberships since March of 2020. As of January 3, 2021, I'm still being charged.According to their policies outlined on their website and in my contract with them, one must either cancel in-person (not an option since I live 700 miles away) or notify the location with a written letter. So, I notified their location in writing to cancel my membership. No response. Furthermore, I no longer live within 25 miles of a Crunch location, which according to their contract, entitles me to cancel my membership as well. The lack of communication and violation of their own terms is unscrupulous. They rope you in with a low cost membership, but make it impossible to cancel even if you're relocated for your job.

Not only the best gym in Champaign. But probably the best gym in the entire world. Each day I walk in I’m in awe of the sheer beauty that is Crunch Fitness. I don’t even miss Toys R Us! The workers are friendly and beautiful and greet me while sharing nothing but pure joy in their hearts. Once I went in the sauna just to cry, because I was so happy I was there. If you go to a different gym and are considering joining crunch, consider no longer. The time is now. Crunch Fitness in Champaign is not only my gym, but it is my temple. Someday when I die, I hope they sprinkle my ashes in the crunch fitness toilets.

I’ve been to multiple Crunch gyms and they are typically clean and maintained. This location is filthy and not maintained. The fabric on some of the machines is destroyed to the extent that it’s uncomfortable to use. I’ve never seen a gym so dirty! The same debris is on the floor multiple days in a row, literally dust tumble weeds all over. What do the employees do? Crunch usually does a great job of interacting and checking you in. Not here, you check in yourself while they literally sit on the counter scrolling on their phone. Champaign location need help!!

You get what you pay for pretty much. Base membership is like $10 so keep that in mind. I’ve been going there ever since they opened and they’re always slow with fixing machines whether it’s cables, bench mats, etc. I’ve seen it take over a month to fix one cable so that alone should say a lot about the place. Right now one of the benches doesn’t have a bench to lay on so who knows how long that will take🤷‍♂️

Pros:-Equipment. Anytime I went, they had the equipment, I wanted.-Lively environment. The atmosphere here is energetic. I actually like their color theme and lighting here. It does make it like a fun place to workout here.-Knowledgeable staff. Every time I called w/ questions, every staff member I spoke to was able to answer all my questions (nice); even the somewhat difficult ones. And they were all friendly and welcomed and encouraged my questions. This was a plus for me.Cons:-Overcrowded. Even thought they had the free weights and bike I wanted the few times I went, it was consistently packed like walk to wall (until later in the day). I could barely find a mirror to view myself working out (using the free weights).Overall, I like the place. I think expanding their building in the future may help due to their consistent crowd. Anytime I was there it was a pretty sizable crowd working out.Crunch vs PF: If you’re like me and are in a decision between picking here and PF for a membership, I would say w/ here: it’s like a more upbeat, lively, bring your friends and let’s go workout and socialize type vibe. With PF, in my opinion, it’s more of a laid back, do my own thing, get in get out type vibe. For me, after trying each place, I like them both. You can’t really lose w/ either one if your main goal is to get fit/stay fit and be healthy. Also, the prices for each add up to about the same annually I believe. So yea.Have fun!
