THEY SCAM THE DISABLED!!! They will scam you and take your money!! Signed up for a personal trainer almost a year ago now. The one I signed up with told me I could cancel anytime. Ok cool. I thought if nothing else I would have to pay a cancellation fee. Was going great until the person I signed up with left. And now unfortunately I’m disabled do to a medical condition that will not go away and can’t workout anymore. They will not cancel! I went in 2 months ago and they told me they would cancel it. Then this month I was charged again. The manager won’t even talk to me! The front desk person just keeps telling my I have to pay for 6 more months. And it was just a freeze on the account for a time. WTH?! I have spent months and HUNDREDS of dollars trying to cancel. All that money just given to them with nothing to show for it. I’m not kidding when I say they have taken HUNDREDS of dollars from a disabled person knowing I can’t come in. I can’t work like I did before so that means I have less pay. And they are still taking over $200 from me a month. They don’t care at all!!!! Corporate will do nothing about it. I am now having my bank stop their payments. Or I will have to close my bank account just to get them to stop taking my money for no reason!!!! I have kids to feed and medical bills to pay!! Not a freaking gym I can’t go to!! They are not so hard up they need to steal money from me and my family. Stay far way from this location and this company!

Joined the EOS with the understanding that we would be in the Chandler AZ area for a month. I was looking for a way to help my husband gain his muscle mass back after a long Covid Pheumonia hospital stay in WA. After we joined the club he was diagnosed with melanoma in his arm. Approval to discontinue the trainer program is a long drawn out process! Wasn't allowed to cancel our membership until the trainer program was canceled and found out the hard way it had to be done through the membership desk. We have been stuck with unfair fees. The local manager never contacted me. Stay away from this company! Trainer program is a trap. With uneducated trainers.

The short version: the staff of this gym, both at this location and at corporate, will openly lie to you about whether you are still being charged for services or membership, and when you ask them to fix their "failure of transparency" "mistakes", they will refuse and stall (presumably to run out the clock on chargebacks). This has happened to me, it has happened to other people in my household, it has happened to other people leaving these reviews (go ahead and scroll down, you'll see more of us. Or check their reviews with the BBB, there are tons of them). There are OTHER gym chains in the valley that don't lie to people about whether they're still being charged for personal training (to the tune of THOUSANDS of dollars!) or whether their accounts are canceled. Maybe try one of those gyms. And if you're still with EOS for some reason (or you've been told that your cancellation went through, after their hidden 30-day cancellation fee dings you), make sure to check your bank statement monthly for any "transparency errors".EDIT: Oh and feel free to check their Better Business Bureau rating and reviews as well, if you're still thinking about signing up and want a picture of how this gym is going to treat you. Hard to see how this isn't intentional fraud with hundreds of near-identical "they kept charging me after I canceled in person" reviews chain-wide, you know?

To say that I'm disappointed with this venue is an understatement. I signed up on Jan 4th as they were running a promo. A couple of weeks later, I decided to cancel my membership because not only is the ratio of machines to members low, but the place is overcrowded and it is difficult to move around safely without bumping into someone else. It's so difficult to find a machine that's available in the afternoon and the etiquette is so poor that very few put back the weights on the rack where they belong.Upon cancellation, I was told that I will be charged the annual membership fee eventhough I am cancelling my membership before completing one month..This is not ethical and I wrote 2 emails to Lona Ness about this matter but she ignored my emails. So much for customer service! The staff at the front desk are very nice but they have no authority except sign up new members. This is a typical example of quality versus quantity. And this is how business eventually fail..

this is the WORST gym ive ever been to. i tried to cancel my membership 6 months ago & they are STILL CHARGING ME. ive called & talked to the manager so many times & they assure me it's canceled than every month im getting money taken out. & when i ask for a refund they say they can't do it. all they care about is taking your money save your time & go somewhere else. I canceled bc i was doing the personal trainer & i work mon-fri & can only go in saturdays to train & all the trainers would cancel last min on me & say they don't train saturdays after i had been rescheduled already. they can't do anything right.

Everyone I go to an EOS gym most times on my day off from work it’s to play basketball and more than half the time the floor has just been mopped and there isn’t any air flow in the basketball court so stays wet for ever.. always mid day.. kind of blows makes me want to go back to life time where you would t have to worry about this

Worst customer service I have ever dealt with! You may have a nice gym and fancy theaters, but that does not make up for poor customer service and the lack of accountability. On 11/3/21 I canceled mine and my wife's membership. Everything seemed to go smoothly. I then noticed, a couple months later, that we were still being charged for my wife's membership.I called and asked that they cancel and reimburse the past transactions after the cancelation date. They agreed and everything seemed to have processed the second time. Now, May 2022, I was put negative in my bank account, and it was due to EOS STILL charging me since the day I canceled! No one took accountability, no one noted the account, and I was never refunded the first time I requested! Once again, I am told they will reach out to their manager and call or email me back. The same response from the first time this happened, and I was never contacted again. Now, once again, I was put negative in the bank with negative fee acquired! The salesmen are pushy, and the customer service is the worst. If you are reading this, I recommend any other gym, not EOS. Go for Mountainside Fitness. That is a company that has an amazing gym and great customer service and non-pushy salesman. You would also do no wrong with Planet Fitness. Here I sit with NOTHING resolved still. This process should not be this hard. Mountainside fitness asks no questions and respects your cancelation requests.IF, I get a call back from management with a resolution I will adjust my rating accordingly, but my opinion will not change.

Signed up for 7 day guest past on 5/30 - Memorial Day. They called me and said I could come in to see the gym and workout. They make you meet with a rep and walk you through the gym before you workout. Then he sat me down and asked which membership I want to sign up for. I said none right now I want to use the 7 day pass to try out the gym before signing up. He said he had to get his manager to do a guest pass. Manager comes back and does his sales pitch and I again say I want to try the gym before signing up. He tells me they don't do guess passes on holidays since it's busiest and wouldn't be fair to paying members so if I want to work out today I have to sign up. Again a scam to get me to sign up- why didnt they tell me that before I came in? He told me I could just sign up and cancel in 3 days but I can't do the guest past. SO really there is no 7 day free trial at this gym and they basically berate you to sign up before even working out. I highly doubt they would just let me cancel after 3 days without alot of hassle. The sale tactics make this gym not worth it.

It’s a good gym. For the price it’s hard to find a gym with better equipment. It would be nice if they had more variety of bars other than standard barbells, such as a safety squat bar and trap deadlift bars. Just be warned that this gym for this price attracts A LOT of people. Busiest gym I’ve ever been in during peak hours. If you’re the kind of person who can’t stand a packed gym then look elsewhere. If you don’t mind it or can work your hours around it then it’s great.

Update: since last review was posted, movie room was reopened shortly after AND there are now lots of new mats! Great customer service :)Not the best location in the area, just the closest. The movie room has been closed for weeks and they are down to only THREE mats available for guests to use on the grass area. Other locations generally have at least ten. Doing push-ups and planks without a mat low key sucks, and I love running with a movie to distract myself. Will probably drive further to go somewhere else
