I’ve been to countless gyms in North and South Carolina, but I can honestly say Pivotal Fitness West Ashley has been my favorite thus far. The facility is spacious and clean, the staff is super friendly, and the members are generally kind. There is an endless amount of equipment to use, so your workouts should never get boring. Highly recommended!

Gym was nice and clean in west Ashley BUT for the contract fees will be charged outside of the contract time frame as well as other fees. When trying to get your money refunded it is an ENDLESS circle that will NOT be solved. It’s not about the money after all of the run around it’s about the poor customer service from the Manager Nate at that location. It’s either he is not in at the times the employees give or he’s out making errands etc. NO REPLIES to the emails sent to the address that was provided. This is why I NEVER wanted a contract but I thought this would be different but hey we live and learn.

Great trainers at the gym. The regional manager Nate is a kind person and always willing to help! The staff makes this place 4-5 stars. They are friendly and committed to your health journey. The recent renovations have really helped this place! However, the bathrooms and locker rooms are absolutely disgusting. I can’t even step foot in them. The floors are rotted and the toilets do not work. Please fix them! It’s hard not to be able to use the locker room at a gym...

Clean facility. Plenty of access to machines/equipment, & the workout area has the most open space that I've ever seen in a gym. It looks like a big warehouse w/ huge mirrors that basically span from floor to ceiling. Plus, the entire staff was extremely nice and supportive my during my ~16 months of working out there.I never really write reviews, but after my experience yesterday, I figured that I'd share with anyone looking for their next fitness center.I was having some financial struggles, and unfortunately had to cancel my membership. I ended up talking with Nate at the front desk, and he was very matter-of-fact about the contract stipulations. However, after working with him for about 10 minutes (all while he was patiently empathizing with my hopeless frustration), he not only came up with a few solutions for my situation, but went above and beyond & contacted the corporate office on my behalf. He ended up sorting it all out himself, and then he personally reached out to me to let me know that everything was taken care of in the best way possible.I'm currently not in the financial position to afford a gym membership, but I would go back to that gym in a heartbeat after dealing with such an accommodating staff.

I like the gym but the membership recruiter, Nate is difficult to work with. Be sure you get a printed copy of your membership at sign up or he will not honor your agreement. He had my membership expire 3 months before it was supposed to since our deal wasn't written down. He then tried to offer me the same deal atoning like he was doing me a favor. They need a new recruiter. The ladies in the daycare are the best I've ever seen. They're like magic with my kids and always got my baby to sleep and kept her happy so I wasn't stressed when working out. They made it worth it!

a great gym they got every machine you can possibly think of even a sissy squat assist. Tons of cardio machines, a dark cardio room, two different yoga / training rooms, you'll have a great time working out here. Staff is very short on weekends but don't worry they're very helpful and friendly it can answer any questions you have. Definitely in a great spot and a great place to work out

This gym was great for working out with weight machines and treadmills. It is a bit overpriced for these services. After belonging to the gym twice, I have found it extremely difficult to get out of a contract; even though the contract had expired. The third party payment service (Peak Payment Solutions) is a nightmare. Good luck canceling with this group. They are rude and their website is ineffective and hard to maneuver. I would recommend another service.

I have moved around a good deal and thus have belonged to many gyms not only here in Charleston but also around the U.S. Pivotal Fitness West Ashley ranks pretty middle of the road as far as facilities and 'actual gym'. They have a good amount of weights, machines, and aerobic equipment and most of it is working/up to date. The problem that I see, like many other reviews (see below), is with the inability to reach their managers and with their payment service (Peak Payment).-With their managers, I have called and spoke with the front desk on 5 separate occasions over the span of fewer than 2 weeks. Each time, the manager was not in or 'unavailable' and I was told that they would call back or call when they got in. This has yet to happen and I do not think it will. Terrible customer service.-With Peak Payment, they are better in that they always answer the phone, but terrible in the fact they never solve any problems or provide solutions. If you do get an answer, it goes along these lines: "That is what we can offer you but nothing else because that is what the club is telling us, Sorry".In any event, the gym is adequate, moderately priced, and in the norm for cleanliness. Beyond that, I would not recommend it in the slightest.**I have not used personal training or daycare or RedZone, so please do not apply the above comments onto those entities. From what I hear, they are above average in what they do.**

I have been going to this Gym for several years and have very much enjoyed it. Great people and amazing staff. I am in the process of leaving Charleston and really hate leaving this gym. What I like most about this gym is! the diversity of the people that go there, the trainer's instruct people of all ages and fitness level. Whether your a person who is overweight or someone like myself in my late 50s, they have the program for you. I am now in one of the best shapes in my life. On top of that, the prices are very reasonable . I had a slight problem when my account was charged for a extra 3 months of personal training sessions . I went to Nate, the manager. He has taken care of the problem and confirmed a refund on my account . Now that's good service. A big Thank you go out to Nate, Fred , Brandon ,Mike and Johnny at Pivotal Fitness West Ashley . Great job guys and of course not forgetting the wonderful ladies that work there, thank you for all your kindness and laughter.

I thoroughly love coming to this gym! All of the staff are nice and personable and I'm on first name basis with most so far. I recommend my friends to Pivotal. The gym equipment is NOT sub-par, in fact, it's clean and spacious. Tons of exercises and classes to choose from. If anyone and everyone that goes in there with a positive attitude and their puts on their game face will make/makes serious gains. The staff is nothing but respectful, encouraging and eager to assist.I've have nothing but good things to say about them.
