The gym is nice, it has everything you need, sauna, steam room, spa, pool and lap pool as well as all the cardio and resistance machines you could ask for. Free weights at this location are more scarce than at other locations like Greenbrier, and always has a crowd in three lifting area. Cleanliness in locker rooms and steam room could use more attention.

One of the main reasons I joined this gym was because they had an indoor basketball court...During my initial tour i noticed the rim was crooked and the other 1/2 of the court was being used to store old extra equipment but I figured 1/2 an indoor court was better than none,, so I joined...but within a few weeks they took the basketball goal down and stated they weren't going to replace it because people kept breaking it. BS! I have my suspicions as to why the hoop isn't going to be replaced. Maintaining a fully functional facility doesn't seem to be a priority but apparently neither is cleanliness the place is rather filthy,

Cancellation is a joke and they have no problem taking advantage of people who are disabled and on a set income. I canceled due to financial reasons. Could not get a live member services rep no matter how many times I called, finally sent an email, they pushed the returned check 5 times to my back after explanation of situation in email. That's well over $100 of fees for someone on fixed income

Will never sign a gym membership contract again. I checked into this gym one time since October 2021 (due to me being a travel nurse). I was not granted a hold on my account. I have since moved out of state! and I am still being charged the full amount of a monthly membership even though I requested a cancelation.

I have to ask was this current move to remove the basketball goals racially motivated?I was a member of this gym for 10+ years. The gym is declining fast. I can't wait until LA Fitness or some other competitor come in and run these clowns out of business. The recent move to remove the basketball goals was the icing on the cake. I feel the decision to remove the basketball goals were racially motivated. Too many black people were using the basketball court and someone decided to remove the basketball goals. Onelife fitness is a joke.

It's a pretty clean gym. Nights and weekends can get a little lax on emptying bins and keeping lockeroom spic and span. Overall cleanliness is a 4. Staff is super nice. I gave it a 3 bc they have only a few..literally 3 deadlift areas. There's a wait most days to hop on one :(

I give this gym a 3 star because it’s the dirtiest Onelife gym I’ve been to in Hampton Roads. The women locker room floor was nasty, the lockers dirty. I could enjoy the sauna distracted by what I was seeing. However the layout of the gym is nice just need better cleaners

Water from the water fountains taste like your drinking from a pond. Spoke to the front desk and they said they told the Manager... nothing has changed. Other than that pretty decent gym. The lady at the front desk is always in a good mood and friendly.Update: Water from the fountains no longer taste like trash. 👍

This is a great gym with lots of classes, a tremendous variety of workout machines and weights as well as a pool for arobics and another for swimming. They also have a steam room, whirlpool, sauna and other perks. Don"t forget the personal trainers for those needing extra TLC. The staff is friendly and the gym is clean and inviting. Invest in your health.

I really like the employees at this gym but I’m sure management is behind the removal of the basketball hoops. I joined this particular gym because it had a basketball court and I’m sad to say they snuck it out of the gym and put more exercise equipment in there. Just like the gym equipment it requires maintenance and repair. So if it breaks or the rims need repair our expensive monthly fee should cover that as well.
