The gym was clean and the machines were good. Wish there was a free weight with barbells, but it was still pretty nice.

I love the hydro massage after my work out. It really helps with my recovery. I highly suggest adding it to your cool down.

Great place to work out. Carlos in the mornings is an excellent staff member. Great communication, very helpful and always smiling. I definitely recommend this place. Clean, friendly staff, positive environment and best of all, no lunks.

I signed up my wife here because we live in Chula Vista; however, since she is staying with her family in Phoenix, she decided to use the Planet Fitness there. A team member suggested we sign up in Phoenix and cancel the membership in Otay Ranch (which I did), since they had no record of her because it was out-of-state. I asked the manager Pearl to cancel the membership, since my wife didn't use it (literally, 3 days) and refund the money. She refused and corporate refused because they are franchises. So, basically they ripped us off because Planet Fitness says, "Use of ANY Planet Fitness worldwide," when you're a Black Card member (which I signed my wife up for). It is not OUR fault that Planet Fitness cannot find her in the system!In response to owner:Sorry, not my problem. Do the RIGHT thing! You basically got a FREE month's service for 3 days of "non-use." At least, the Phoenix Planet Fitness has OUR business ;)

This gym targets a very specific audience.. it does not have squat racks, flat, incline or decline benches, deadlift platforms or spin bikes. The highest dumbbell weight is 75. This place is also a high schooler hangout spot. All of the kids are on Facebook, snapchating or taking selfies in the mirror when your trying to look at your form in the mirror. The music that they play is way too loud. Everyone is already wearing headphones, why blast Katy Perry?

The staff is amazing! They are always so pleasant and very professional and greet everyone by their name! The gym and machines are very clean!! Pearl and JC are AWESOME they ALWAYS GO ABOVE AND BEYOND to make you feel welcomed!

For the most planet fitness at Otay Ranch has been good.There have been a few days when it is impossible to get onto a machine or someone leaves a machine and then like 10 minutes later comes back while you are working out and states they were using the machine. That is a big you are going to have to wait until I am done or you can workout in between my sets. This might not be a Planet Fitness problem but a problem with teaching people proper gym etiquette.
