Im so frustrated! They keep randomly closing the pool. So today we hired a babysitter and drove to the Y to swim. We confirmed with 2 ladies at the front desk that the pool is open until 6:45 pm.used the emachines first then changed into swimsuits walked out to the pool and the lifeguard announced the pool was closed and told us to leave. Now I can’t swim again for 4 days. We are paying $119/mo for frustrationI love the eMachines and there’s an elliptical bike that also works arms that I love, unfortunately they have Fox News on the TV and I leave my workout feeling angry. I asked them to change it but they won’t. I always look around and no one else seems to be watching it, but for me it’s like a train wreck that I can’t look away from. These are all things that could be easily fixed. I hope they eventually do.

I went here for years and I have always hated the hours on the weekends of ymca I work weekends so I want to work out at 6 or 7 am but that's not possible with this membership, plus the pool is confusing with hours. My membership is over and I'm looking into other gyms with better times and less kids.

"Clinic" style softball was not good. And don't swim underwater because that is against policy. But the facility is generally clean, and the other youth sports are relatively inexpensive. Staff attempt to be friendly.

Rude female personal trainers who throw around equipment to kick you out of rooms. No place to do abs. No one cleans anything because all the cleaning supplies are behind strength machines. When I addressed this with management they blew me off.

If you're prepared to see your child drowning in the swimming pool, during the swimming class, you are in the right place! They don't ask anything about your kid if he enjoys swimming pool if he knows how to swim or took classes before, or any other important information about that, even in the first class. The only thing what about they are interested is if you paid for the lessons. For sure they don't have safety procedure guidelines and, if have, are pretty hidden, nobody knows about that! The instructor was unprepared for that, the classes are boring and a mess! It's a shame what you offer... Don't waste your time and money and, especially, your kid's safety!Editing (September 30, 2022): after talking to the aquatics director, he has taken extra care to have one more TA in the swimming pool and keep the kids together during activities. I appreciate the attention to the situation because we are talking about the kid's safety!

When I called this place with a question back in May I got a seemingly endless ring only for whoever picked up to immediately hang up. Their pool hours constantly change. I went in to ask if that was the case and the front desk staff said “uh no its been that way since June” when I had been out of town since before June. So just expect disrespectful interactions all around if you have a question. There is no redundancy on equipment if one machine goes down, since the weight room is the size of a large kitchen. So if you want to do quad extensions and it’s broken, that’s it. All of these are relatively minor inconveniences though when compared to the jewel in this place’s crown: the reeking stench of old urine in the men’s restroom. The smell of the men’s restroom is one of the most disgusting characteristics of this place and it is as enduring as their commitment to strange pool hours/availability. I know they probably try to clean it as I have seen staff do so. Yet the smell somehow endures. There either is a lack of enthusiasm to remodel or repair the source of what is caking on this smell or the management here is severely neglected by initiative at all from up above. I’m still not sure why I contribute extra to the Y if, despite all of their lofty programs and charitable initiatives, they send their underprivileged recipients to urine-infested facilities such as this one. They have the resources. They got this new Ignite Health program complete with its own equipment. There isn’t a lack of resources. Higher leadership at the Y is allowing these facilities to get out of control and trying to distract from it with querky new feature-based equipment and programs. Meanwhile, the smell of rotten pee festers in perpetuity the moment you come into the restroom.

It’s unfortunate that Kasey (membership director) is so quick to cancel members instead of resolving issues, Heidi being the learn and play director for the issue I had (gave more excuses than resolving the issue) my kids were turned down because they were at capacity while Sandy the learn & play lead was laughing at not having room for my toddler but having room for my infant and preschool aged child while in the toddler room they only had 7 little ones with four adult employees present. I had even expressed to Sandy how if they became at their actual capacity I could’ve been called and I would’ve stopped my workout to get my little ones but instead she continued to have a little giggle over how she couldn’t take my kids while parents were in picking up their toddlers (so their numbers were continuing to drop) Sandy needs to be properly trained on how to deal with customers because she is unprofessional and clearly a liar about being at capacity with four adults and 7 toddler kids. Posting a photo of how they still had one opening in their Tots room. Please be mindful when hiring employees that they don’t lie in parents faces and consider not having a director who makes excuses for her employees that are clearly liars. Photo proven.

This place used to be so great but now since Covid even with the less restrictions it is hard to get to the gym with limited hours and being closed on Sundays. With the limited hours you can imagine how hard it is to be able to swim or use equipment! Everyone is there because the only center is only open for 4-5 hours. Sadly our family joined another gym so we could have more options for times to work out during the day.

I'm not sure what has happened in the past month or so, but prior to that I would come home from USAFA do about 45mins to a hour in the pool and head home and it was great! Some days you'd have to share a lane but mostly you had lanes to yourself. Recently though every time I've showed up either the pool was closed or limited to 1 lane at the 4:30pm hour? And what's worse is the 1 lap lane that is open often is full of Children playing in the lane instead of doing lap exercises.
