I have always had a good experience when I have gone to the Growth are YMCA. I really appreciate that you don't play movies on the tv's. I dont watch tv myself. While I am exercising it is nice to watch flipping houses. I also appreciate how family oriented it is. I feel very safe there.

Good location for Northeast Springs. Friendly staff. Lots of cardio equipment. Weight room can get busy, but it has a good variety of equipment and does not feel like it’s gets too crowded.

I enjoy this YMCA very much. However, they need to revise their men's locker room policy. The current policy allows a father or guardian, to bring a 4 year old girl into a locker room full of naked men. This is unacceptable, there are provisions for families at this facility. I am extremely uncomfortable with this and am sure others are too. Please review and correct. Thanks

Need to clean and improve the family dressing rooms. Also need to have better supervision of children at the pool. Watched several kids blow their noses in the water while the lifeguard looked away.... needless to say we did not go back. Very friendly staff - in general - and great location.

I enrolled my son in baseball at the Briargate Y. For 2 weeks everything was going okay, but after the 2 weeks were up my son's baseball team no longer had a coach not to mention the baseball games kept getting cancelled. Why did I pay all that money for my son to be in baseball when there was no coach to teach him how to play ball?

I am not a member of the YMCA but booked a birthday party here. He party isn't even until tomorrow and it has been a total disaster working with this facility. Apparently there is one birthday coordinator who only works on February 30th from 2600-2601. You didn't read that incorrectly, nor did I make a typo. It's impossible to get in contact with this person and when I actually did, I was expecting that someone else would call me with procedural information because she basically called me to say that my party was in fact booked because of the fiasco that occurred when I went to sign the birthday contract for a party I'd booked over the phone. I'll update this after the party but from my experience and the other reviews I've read, I already regret booking here.

I love this location. It's very clean and I love the yoga classes! My son loves the child watch center also. We both look forward to going everyday!

I was a member there for years and loved it. Past two years rates keep going up, class options are minimal and it in no way compares to the other gyms in town, except I'm now paying close to the same amount. Quit in December and don't plan on returning. Thought about signing my kids up for spring soccer, but saw they just raised the rates on that as well😬 $100 for a fake soccer league?? No thanks!

Our family has attended Briargate YMCA for a little over a year now. I love the location being so close to home. Makes working out consistently that much easier. Plenty of equipment. Rarely do I have to wait to use a machine. Always dedicated and super friendly staff avaiable. Most all the YMCA members are friendly and personable as well. The bathrooms are always clean and properly maintained. I have never seen empty toilet paper or paper toweling dispensers. A vast selection of drinks and energy snacks to fuel your workouts are near the entrance too. Just in incase you didn't have time. Or forgot to bring your own. Not that that ever happens!😊

I am sad to say that this location has completely gone down hill. We have been members for 3 years and after taking a 3 month break from surgery, I returned to the Y to find that staff had changed and they are completely unprofessional. I had come to the new staff multiple times in the last week about small chi.dren running all around the track without wristbands or parent supervision, parents coming upstairs to the to watch there children play sports in the gym below blocking the track, same parents letting there toddlers use the track as a playground. This is something that has been going since I returned 2 weeks ago and the staff shows little concern about the issue. The first time I came to the desk there was a girl talking to another staff member and didn't acknowledge me until I had to interrupt there conversation after standing there staring at them until I became frustrated. She said she would take care of it and never saw any staff member come upstairs to even check in the 1 hour and 20 min I was up there. I ended up stopping several times during my run to tell the kids to move and tell the parents to watch there children. The second time was this morning. Same exact situation except this time there was several people at the front desk and when I expressed my concern they once again showed little concern. One staff member did come upstairs to talk to the kids but by the time they arrived, other people running the track had already asked people to move or leave. Not at anytime did any of the "staff" apologize or show any type of concern for what keeps going on upstairs on the track. They used to come every hour to walk and check the track to make sure everything is okay but it doesn't seem like they do that anymore. I get it, it's busy on the weekends, it's busy on Monday mornings, but why am I paying you when I have to babysit other people's children bc they can't take care of there own kids, why do I have to tell people to move that looking down at the gym blocking the track, why is it that asking your. Staff members to do there job like pulling teeth? Your new staff is rude. Plain and simple. I plan on speaking to whomever runs this location and then cancel my membership. It is sad that the YMCA has become this way. So turned off by this place.
