David Wool is my trainer and in the short time that we have worked together I feel like I have increased my stamina and strength 10 fold!He has been awesome and is extremely helpful for anyone from novice to long time gym rat.

I have been a member at multiple gyms in the Charlotte area and this is far and above my favorite one. It is never too crowed and the staff is very friendly. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a great place to workout.

6+ weeks with a broken leg extension machine. Not sure for the delay in fixing a relatively staple piece of gym equipment, as I have previously contacted management about this, and received a seemingly perfunctory email in return. I do not leave a negative review because I wish anything negative on a community business, I simply need to get someone's attention to keep the equipment in working order.

Before you sign up here, beware the cancellation policy, even if you are no longer under contract! You have to send in a CERTIFIED (almost $7) letter to corporate with a reason for quitting and your cancellation doesn't take effect for 30 days after your letter has reached them. This same letter that also contains your returned gym key. So you have to pay for an extra month! This is such a scam. I would never recommend this gym after this ordeal. I've also been charged the $25 maintenance fee even after cancellation. (a month ago)

Since day one of going to Golds Gym it's been a wonderful experience. Luke, the Manager helped me get back on track with healthy recipes, tips on my posture and always a friendly smile. I also have a Trainer, Dylan who I see a couple times a week. He is wonderful with taking me at my own speed and making sure my posture is correct for the right exercise. I would gladly recommend Golds Gym to everyone, so go see Dylan!!!

I love the trainer I work with. I wanted to find a gym where the trainers listened and cared. That is what I found at Gold's Gym in Harrisburg from the training staff to the new manager, Luke. They listen and customize the workouts to your goals and teach you about each exercise. My workouts are always different and fun. I never get bored. Would definitely recommend them!

I would highly discourage anyone from joining Golds Gym. In the year I have been going to the location in Harrisburg NC, I have had 4 different personal trainers, and have seen 3 PT managers come and go. I finally decided to terminate my membership and PT sessions with them back in February '17. I had to do this in 2 phases: first, I had to mail a CERTIFIED letter to Golds Gym, listing my reasons for leaving (not really their business) and a $50 check for early cancellation (I had been a member for 2 yrs at this point but had somehow signed a 3yr contract); second, I had to cancel my PT sessions in person with the manager at the Harrisburg location, which I did. Golds Gym then withdrew the amount for my PT ($100) in March '17. I contacted the manager and was told that the 30day notice of cancellation hadn't occurred yet so that is way it was drafted; it had been 15 days post cancellation. OK... Whatever. THEN in April, I had another withdrawal for PT, another $100... for the past 3wks I have been unsuccessfully fighting this wrongful withdrawal, calling both the gym and manager (a new one now, Chris), and Golds Gym customer care with little to no effort on their part to correct this problem. I have left countless messages, called I-don't-know how many times, emailed them on several occasions and have sent screenshots of my banking accounts showing the withdrawals. I am lucky if the manager decides to return my calls once a week. Nobody from higher up in Customer Care or higher management has bothered to return my requests for a refund. I was trying to be patient, but after 3wks of getting jerked around, it becomes frustrating. Please, please, PLEASE do not join Golds Gym, they do not put their clients first, they have a high turnover of employees (which makes me think they don't put their employees first, either), and their equipment is routinely "out of service." There are so many other options for physical fitness, I would strongly recommend that anyone and everyone seek to take their business and money elsewhere.

Really love this facility and my personal trainer, David Wool! Joined this gym back in March 2017 and I am obsessed. Never been a gym rat before but thanks to this facility and David, I love my body more than ever and look forward to going to the gym everyday. Both the gym members and employees are extremely nice and I have never felt uncomfortable or out of place and people of every age, shape, size, and ethnicity can be found at this location. The more time I spend at this gym the more it's beginning to feel like a second home! Other comments on here mention the cancellation policy, and that information is true and can be a hassle, but honestly every gym I've dealt with has had similar policies or they didn't offer the same amenities such as child care, a sauna, a cardio theater, classes that are included in your monthly payments, and a ton of other awesome stuff, not to mention it's a newer facility and always clean. The training program is under new management, and my trainer specifically is amazing! It can be pricey but they are very willing to work with what you need specifically and design a plan that fits your budget and exercise requirements. My boyfriend and I both work with David and we LOVE him! He is knowledgeable, flexible schedule wise, and is there to push us but make sure we never hurt ourselves plus he makes our workouts fun so it's not a chore. My boyfriend was hesitant at first to sign up for a personal trainer since he works outside and stays in shape all year round, but since we have been working with David for a few months now he will sing his praises to anyone willing to listen! We have both learned so much and nothing feels better than being able to feel yourself getting stronger and seeing physical results right before your eyes, which we both have. If you've been thinking about a gym or making a change to a better healthier lifestyle, stop waiting and do it!

This gym is ridiculous. The manager is very rude. I visited Charlotte for Thanksgiving and my gym gave me a travel pass. I noticed that my license was missing yesterday and the last place I remembered having it, was last Saturday, November 25, 2017, at this gym location. I called the gym yesterday but they were closed. I called today and the person at the desk quickly verified that they had my license. I asked her why they didn't call me or mail my license back to me. She told me she was not sure. When I asked her to mail it to my out of state address, she told me she would have to talk to her manager who was in a meeting. Unfortunately I had to call back again and the manager told me it was not their responsibility to notify me that they had my license. My local out of state gym told me they contact members when licenses are left at their gym and they ask the person if they want to come get it or if they want it mailed. The manager at this gym said, "good for them".This is the worst customer service ever. If I didn't remember the last place I had my license then what? They would just keep it forever or trash it? Common sense, if your employee did not return the license to a member, wouldn't you expect them to contact you? The manager was very nasty, rude and unprofessional. I love my Gold's gym in West Cobb, Austell, Ga. They go beyond and above to give members and potential members the best customer service ever. This gym in Harrisburg, NC can learn from my gym. I have been a member of Gold's gym for 11 years and I have referred new members to my gym and they love it.Mr. Manager, the customer is always right. I hope you put my license in the mail and don't put it in the garbage!!I would give you zero stars if I could!!
