I usually would not resort to blasting a company publicly, but this gym is terrible. I have been at the Harrisburg location for around nine months now and it is the worst decision I have ever made. I really wanted to learn about fitness so I enrolled in the physical training package which is 200$ a month which ties you into a year contract. I have been through four different trainers at no fault of my own. Two of the trainers received other job opportunities and never said anything to me until a couple days before they were leaving. My last trainer picked up and moved to Florida and said nothing to me. Golds gym took no responsibility for contacting clients to ensure that they were receiving the services they paid for! Not only that but my last trainer asked me for money, rides, and also messaged me saying we could "get a drink and whatever happens, happens". So after getting out of my training contract...golds gym charged me an additional 200$ as a "last month required charge" and said they actually did me a solid by not charging me the 350$ early termination fee. I was absolutely robbed! Now I have been into golds gym twice to get out of my basic gym contract. An email was supposively sent to the operations manager..Its now one month later and I was told that she is to busy to respond sooner than a months time frame. Load of crap! I've been waiting almost a month for a response from this so called concerned operations manager.... stay away from golds gym! Completely unprofessional on all levels! Money hungry and will con you into signing up for things that they will never uphold.

I'm from Charleston, SC and I visited this Gold's twice while on vacation at Great Wolf Lodge. Now my local Gold's Gym is nice and by no means crappy but this one makes mine look like Average Joe's. The equipment is better and so is the actual facility. Everything is in excellent condition. The staff was very welcoming to.

Staff there courteous and very helpful! Clean, maintained facility. Is a quick drive from my home and work. You may catch a good movie in the cardio cinema!

A Group Ex Schedule where there's something for everyone! A fitness floor which is easy to navigate and enough cardio equipment where you're not "waiting" your turn! This is a club where you will see results in your fitness when you're putting in to it what you want to get out of it. Plenty of instructors and trainers to help you achieve your fitness goals!

I am not happy at all with their serve that is why I am paying for something I am not interested in doing anymore due to the fact that some of there employee are rude, they also try to over charge you, and the employees are fast talking. They don't explain things clearly to you until you have a issue. They manager one of them is very unprofessional. I have a two year contract with this gym in which I can't get out of because my credit. I am so tried of this gym already and I have been here since the begining of January. They said that I'll be paying 60.00 and in a month time it went up 1.65 cents because my bank they said is charging me 1.65 but I give them my checking account information the would charge 1.65. I suppose to truth them when my bank state that Golds Gym tried to take out my monthly charge in the amount 111.00 in which I didn't have that amount in there. So tey tried again for 36.65 in which I didn't that either because I paid two months in a roll 34.99 and that is what i had in my bank account. Ithink that if you need a gym go to and you don't want a set payment that you sign up for don't go here. I also had problem with the child care also the people there don't know how to speak to people.

Horrible experience. Such an embarrassment when I brought a guest. For some reason they thought I didn't want to pay the $10 for my guest. They gave me the run around and terrible customer service. Trying to cancel my renewal was countless days of back and forth. Its was a game of catch a manager when you can. They also charge me the $25 gym maintenance fee when my contract was already canceled and haven't refunded me back. My advise to everyone stay far away!!!!!!!!

I love it that I am able to work out and get back in shape while my kids are being tended to in the Kid's Cave!!! The staff are so friendly and helpful. Being there is like a home away from home.

NEVER get Golds GYM contract. I had enough, Read about the contracts in golds gym do a google. Especially the cancellation process its pathetic.Always choose a club with no Annual membership.Clean, productive, tanning and blah blahs we do get that and any clubs now...and by the way on a survey amenities are NOT used by 90% of the members but they are still charged. So choose as per your needEDIT: Removing the given 3 Stars: Horrible mangement, 0 in manners, Still havent cancelled my membership, if you call them with a question , they will call you back after a WEEK AND They wont even have a manners to wait to ask if we are done with our Questions...These Guys SUCK!

2+ years as a member and they still have not repaired the audio/video system, been to many Gold's and 24 hour Fitness, LA Fitness, owners just don't care here. No pool, no courts, but we got shaving cream in the locker room...woohoo...membership ends this month after 2 years of false promises.Equipment broken often goes 2+ weeks before repairs...there are so many better places

It took me awhile to find a gym I loved after moving to the Charlotte area. I needed a clean gym, good child care, and good group fitness classes....you wouldn't think that was asking much! This gym is finally it! The child care rooms are excellent and the staff is so nice and helpful! Both my daughters love the employees in the child care rooms and love to go to the gym and play! Once I know they are in good hands I can have a stress free workout! The gym is always clean, including the locker room. I love the group fitness classes they offer as well!
