Gold's Gym Harrisburg, NC

This place is so dirty, the women’s locker room is so NASTY!! I attached some pics from the women’s locker room ( the shower& sauna). The shower sink smells so bad. They don’t clean at all…It is been more than 3 weeks since these mold were there! It is covid for god sake! I will NOT recommend anyone here.

Cancelled my gym membership and still getting charged half a year later. Do not sign up here. Avoid their contracts.

I am only rating it 1 star because it doesn’t give me the option to rate it lower, my experience there was dreadful, upon entering the gym I got body shamed by a worker, I asked what’s they’re heaviest weight was and was told I wouldn’t need it regardless, I then proceeded to do their highest weight and the staff member then disappeared, me and my friends where then rushed to finish our workouts because we had been there for “too long” the staffing members are very terrible and very very very high maintenance, poor communication skills and I’d recommended planet fitness before I recommend anyone this golds gym

Did not read the contract at the gym, was not given a copy. When I received a copy by e mail, I could not believe the wording. Under North Carolina law I have rights, regardless of the wording, can not be cancelled. Even though I delivered a copy of the law to gym personal, they are still trying to collect.Have complained to gym management, but to no avail.

I started the gym exactly 2 years ago in this place everything was great until I started reading and discovered how difficult it was to get out at the end of the contract for this gym, it all started when the pandemic hit I tried to leave the gym and I found many traps That they did not leave me options to pay the entirety of my contract, that is, all the months that I was missing, and I have been to other gym before and none of them cheated me to leave, the 6 months of the pandemic that the place was closed they charged me , I just hope that my comment can advise someone, for my part, this is the last gold gym that I will go from today, no more this franchise, gentlemen, be aware of the contacts once you finish your period, this is self-recharged by others 2 years automatic, I still do not understand why they charged me for 6 months of pandemic if I just in time canceled my contract in the exact period and I found out that it was 6 months which I could not go to the gym since it was closed due to the pandemic, lucky e to all and be careful, credit is at stake in this gym ...

They have made improvements lately (new comfy couhces & TV in women's locker room) and lots of room to move between equipment but just wish they offered evening or Saturday yoga and Zumba classes.

I canceled my membership over a year ago when I moved from NC to California. They still continue to charge me a monthly fee and when I talked to them they say "it will be taken care of" or "we can't find your account." This month they charged me my monthly fee plus an additional $167.45, which I can't get an explanation for. They are a bunch of crooks.

So basically they’ll tell you it’s easy to cancel at anytime when I fact that’s not true, they’ll give you a contract and force you to keep paying and the only way out of it is paying the full amount left on that contract. READ before you sign anything because they will tell you anything to make you sign that paper.

Nice equipment but I hate the culture of this gym. Not helpful and sometimes downright dismissive and rude. It's a good spot for body builders but not for beginners and intermediates if you know what I mean

I dont really write reviews, but I know first hand people are always quick to complain but never have time to say thank you.Since SAM took back over the place is really changing for the good. I thanked him for getting ripped and broken machines fix. Finding the people that don't rerack the weights and having them do it.. as my wife not yet can lift 45lbs plate.He is always friendly to everyone. The rest of the morning workers and daycare are the reasons why we stay.Thank you Golds gym HarrisburgFrom the Metz family.
