Kickaro's Martial Arts & Fitness - Danbury - Kids LOVE Karate

Our daughter has been attending classes here for many years. Her confidence and willingness to try more physical activities has grown exponentially under the tutelage of Mr. Mike. Classes here are a great way to sharpen mental acuity as well as gain confidence and physical strength. A great, well- rounded experience.

I was looking for a safe fun activity for my 6 year old son who is also alittle shy. I was very hesitant of karate thinking it might be too strict or make him feel uncomfortable. After meeting with Mr. Micheal I could not have been SO WRONG!! Mr. Micheal is amazing and has that something special about him to make my son feel comfortable and start to volunteer and break out of his shell a little. He also is having fun and really enjoys seeing other kids during these difficult times. I like that he is enjoying himself and doing it safetly.Everyone wears masks and is atleast 6 feet apart. I highly recommend if you were hesitate like I was to give it a try.. go for it im sooo glad I did.

So happy that my son is part of this awesome Kickaro's adventure. We are definitely seeing results with discipline and listening as promised by the school. Teachers are extremely professional yet friendly and accommodating. They are highly recommended. 💯 …

So, a bit of a short and sweet story time. At 4 years old, I started my journey with Mr. Michael back in the building near Christian Life Academy when I attended a friend's birthday party. It hooked me. I attended class at least twice a week - with several of my friends - until about 8th grade, when I entered High School in a town several miles away and couldn't make that drive two or so nights a week. While I never made it to my black belt, I was able to get my Jr. Black Belt - one of the proudest moments of my life. Since then, I've become heavily involved with Boy Scouts and a State Police Cadet Post. I just recently obtained the rank of Eagle Scout, as well as the rank of Sergeant in the CT State Police Cadet Post. A lot of that came directly from the idea of perseverance that Mr. Michael drilled into us each class. The whole idea of never giving up, not letting fear, fatigue, or the lack of confidence get us down. In my Eagle Board of review, I quoted the idea of "Perseverance." The amount of time, effort, and care Mr. Michael (and some of the other instructors I've had the pleasure of being co-taught by over the years) can never be repaid in full. It has meant so much to me to have been given the opportunity to be in Mr. Michael's class, and to be able to use many of the skills in my future Law Enforcement career. I could never say thank you enough.

I have been kickboxing at Kickaro's for a few months now and absolutely love it. Michael and Kris are awesome, and compliment each other well with their different style of kickboxing classes they teach. It is the perfect energetic workout both physically and mentally. There's no better workout if you're looking to get into shape, relieve some stress, and just feel good about yourself. I highly recommend.

Mike, Kristine and team are great! My goddaughter absolutely loves classes and is eager to learn. She even created her own goal. Since her mom was hospitalized and then sadly passed away shes had a great outlet to focus on herself and something to call her own. I highly recommend this team that genuinely care about all their students and it shows!

Michael is fantastic. He is patient with the kids, makes the class entertaining but is also diligent about discipline. Our kids get the best of all worlds, fun, exercise and good practice at self control and following directions. I highly recommend.

When I seek out other adults as teachers, coaches etc to be involved in my children’s lives, I first and foremost look for someone who is a good person, with a good heart, and with the best intentions for my kids. Mr. Michael is this person and I am grateful to have found him! Not only is he a great guy, but he’s also a great instructor who has supported my girls in learning respect, what it means to work towards goals, and discipline, while building their confidence. My goal is to raise confident, strong, kind girls who can also defend themselves if the need was ever there. Im grateful that Kickaros is helping to do just that!Also, as a side note, Mr. Michael has been taking all necessary COVID-19 precautions and doing all he can to meet the needs of his karate community, while still keeping his business running. I’m proud to support him during this time.My girls are now 4 and 7 and my oldest has been there for 3 years now.

My son recently joined and from the initial phone call to the first private class it has been nothing short of an amazing experience. Mr. Michael has definitely created a warm learning environment. It’s great to see my child socialize safely while getting all that enter your in the best way! 5 stars doesn’t do it justice.

I LOVE Michaels Kickaros, Mr. Michael is an astonishing teacher he is so kind to all the students it’s amazing the care he has for his students, his teaching as well is just as amazing as his personality he knows how to make the kids have fun while learning to control their power and discipline. When I first started about 5 years ago I was so scared but Mr. Michael made my first experience amazing that all I wanted to do was go back everyday, I’ve gained so much knowledge on how to control myself and take care of myself without depending on people. The environment overall is great everyone is so kind and friendly to one another this is one of my FAVORITE places to be knowing that I’m safe, having fun, learning to control myself and working hard to achieve my goals. :)
