Planet Fitness at Daytona Promenade offers 24-hour access on most days. This gym is known for its affordable membership options and welcoming atmosphere. It features a variety of workout equipment, tanning beds, and hydro-massage chairs. The location is generally clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. However, some members have reported issues with equipment maintenance and cleanliness in certain areas, such as the bathrooms. Despite these drawbacks, many appreciate the gym's value for money and convenient hours.

Despite its affordability, the gym has room for improvement. There's a history of customer complaints regarding hygiene, equipment maintenance, and inconsistent staff behavior. Frequent occupants, like homeless individuals, have reportedly compromised the gym environment. Although some members cherish their experience, attention to these concerns could elevate Planet Fitness's appeal.

I don’t agree with any of the one star reviews given. As some of them are justified I do not feel like it constitutes giving this great location such a low rating. I work out here all the time. Staff is always friendly, the gym is clean and has plenty of equipment. I actually prefer this location to the Ormond Beach location because of how spacious it is and how many machines they have. For the price you’re paying monthly you get a great gym, with plenty of equipment, a relatively not busy place (except around 6ish during the week), and a safe place to work out. I will always recommended this location! If I had to suggest one thing, it would be to add recycling bins for people to throw their water bottles in, I see a ton of water bottles in the trash.

I feel like giving this place one star is even too much. I can’t even imagine how many people come out of there with a staff infection with how disgusting the place is. The showers are covered in mold and there’s so much baked on body film on the tanning beds it’s atrocious. The staff are professional, but lazy. They’re obviously not doing the maintenance and cleaning that they should be doing. Will never be returning to a planet fitness again.

I've been going to this gym for a few months now and I'll have to say I'm extremely disappointed. The ropes are so used they're basically shredded. Rusty trash cans and equipment. The sign in the parking lot looks like something out of an apocalyptic movie. I mean really, if this was your place of business would you keep your sign like that? All faded and moldy? The air conditioning is barely enough to keep it cool. There's absolutely no air circulation in the back by the weights. I was going to the NSB planet fitness but moved here. The manager told me that they would transfer my membership. That was 3 months ago and they still haven't transferred it.

Called twice to tell them I was Covid positive and to freeze my account til I am tested negative. I believe Christina is the manager and was told she can only freeze my membership. Called twice and still never got a call back from the manager. I also am 100% sure that I got Covid from the gym. A friend realized that they don’t clean the machines at the Daytona location and it’s exactly where I got it. The manager don’t care if you test positive of Covid and bring it to the gym.

I have been to 3 different planet fitness locations. Never an issue until I went to the one here in Daytona. I can't believe the attitudes I have dealt with from the employees at this store. And it's not just one of them, it's been 3 different girls. Just rude, snotty, the I'm better than you attitude. And when I tried putting in a complaint, you really can't. Most of the stores are franchises so calling corporate is a waste of time. I'm told to go up the chain of comAnd at the store in question. Also big waste of time cause they obviously stick together. If the mngr tells the gen. Mnger he's gonna agree with her and so on. But they took my money and because I wanted to pay myself every month and would not give them my bank info I had to cancel my membership. Ok fine, but I'm paid up till the end of the month and they wouldn't let me finish the month I already paid for. Then when I asked y and started getting upset ( not yelling or cussing, nothing like that) they told me to leave the property. I couldn't believe what was happening and how I was treated. And to make it worse the 3 of them thought the whole thing was funny. I'm 61 yrs old, they weren't a day over 21 and to be disrespected like that was pretty shocking. Not to mention embaressing. So no, I don't recommend the planet fitness in Daytona Bch on Nova rd.

The facility and staff are fine, but the hours are sorely lacking as I prefer to avoid the crowds by working out at night. Previously 24/7 Monday through Thursday pre-pandemic, then the shutdown, reopening with 9pm closing times Monday through Thursday and eventually back to 24/7 weeknights late last year. Saturday/Sunday closures at 7 are more limited than virtually any other gym around. Now out of the blue hours change to 9pm closures 5 nights a week. So if I want a TRUE 24/7 club my options are drive out of my way to another location or join another gym..

I’ve never been to a gym before and I got the Black Card Access. Scott at the front desk took the time to show me all the amenities and how to use everything. I really appreciated it because I was already nervous about going for the first time. Thanks, Scott! God Bless
