Planet Fitness

I love how clean the Planet Fitness in Denton is. They have a great selection of workout equipment. I have been a member of a few different gyms and Planet Fitness has them all beat especially considering the price!

WARNING - BEWARE -Decided to join a gym for health reasons. Planet Fitness was a convenient location and had a good advertised price for membership. Stopped by to take a tour, after the tour, I inquired about different types of memberships. This place requires 2 FORMS OF PAYMENT on file. 1 of the 2 forms of payment MUST be your bank account and routing number - NO exceptions. You must write your banking information down on a piece of paper... I wonder how secure this is? Who has access to the paper while it's in Planet Fitness possession? How do they secure your information. These questions went unanswered by the Planet Fitness representative. This was a big red flag. I turned around and walked out. Visited several other gyms in the area and ultimately joined up at a much nicer facility (at least for my needs) and without a big hassle over payment. I paid for 1 year in advance on a single credit card, an option not offered by Planet Fitness without your bank account and routing number!!! I also found Planet Fitness to be deceptive as you are charged some sort of fee up front in addition to your monthly membership, and then in 3 months there is another fee due. Who knows how many more fees would pop up down the line. LOOK OUT for the hidden fees, the additional fees and reconsider if you must provide your banking information.

Not a ton of equipment compared to the Lewisville location. But it is extremely clean and the front desk people (the ones I interact with) are so nice! And it’s also new, and it is very sleek.

This location is constantly kept clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. Awesome customer service experience at the time of signing up. Overall great place to go for gym membership.

I advise all members & visitors to a Planet Fitness club to NOT store anything of value in their lockers. I've only been a member for a very short time and have already had my wallet and keys stolen from a LOCKED locker. For this crime, staff and corporate support from Planet Fitness was extremely minimal and NO AMOUNT of reimbursement was offered for my stolen items and added expense. USE CAUTION - If you do take valuables into any of these clubs, keep them closely with you at all times. There are individuals who purposely target fitness clubs for theft and Planet Fitness does not care and will NOT help you in the case of your stolen items.

I went by this location to peek inside and see what they had to offer. Its okay and there is enough parking in the area to ensure that you don't have to look for a parking spot. The interior of the building seems kind of small that the equipment is located, but appears to be in good shape. There were a lot of people when I visited.

I love the convenience of having a 24 hour gym at such an affordable price. The tanning beds and massage chairs/beds are a great bonus! Pretty good variety of weights, machines, and other exercise equipment.

Painless is the best way to describe it. No hidden fees, no trouble getting what I need, and excellent customer service. I had to cancel today due to time restraints and even cancellation is painless. No few hundred dollar cancellation fee, no back and forth to keep you a customer. Definitely will be a returning customer.

I love this planet fitness because it feels bigger than the other planet fitness. The staff is wonderful and is willing to help you out with anything. It’s never feels super crowded. Because they have so many machines. I would definitely recommend buying a black card. I love the hydro massage after a workout because I end up being less sore. I definitely think the black card is worth it if you are interested in tanning or buying any merchandise because it really does save you money. I was paying almost $40 at palm beach and those extra ten dollars I spend are worth it at the gym.

Inexpensive membership, great if all you need is access to equipment. For $10/mo you have 24 hr access. For $22/mo you also get access to massage chairs and tanning beds. Customer service is great! Downside, no pool, sauna, basketball court, or fitness classes. But I love the circuit room, and anytime you want to learn more about fitness they do have free training!
