Avoid this place! The changing rooms are disgusting, employees will blatantly steal from locker rooms and the benches are always insanely crowded.The pool isn't cleaned properly and you'll often find floating clumps of hair when doing laps.I've been going to different gyms for years, and I've never had a worse experience. Awful.EDIT: went to retrieve my things after receiving this response, and they couldn't find them. Half the lockers are permanently occupied, but when a theft occurs, they claim that they're supposed to be day lockers (a fact that isn't advertised on any signs or written communications) to avoid responsibility over cut locks. I called the police to report the theft and was told I wasn't the first one to deal with this.

General upkeep and maintenance are minimal, repairs are made reluctantly or not at all. The towels are threadbare and staff are unable, or at least not allowed, to make even minimal improvements. The lights in the men's spa area are frequently out and sometimes the entire area is dark. Hot water is often not available, and the hot tub and steam room operate sporadically. I remain a member only because of its convenient location.

Be very very careful if you shower here. They just had the hot water fixed, which is great and all, but the water gets very hot very fast. The shower stalls are pretty small so you have to be very careful not to bump the handle or you will get burned.Also don't stand on the floor in the locker rooms in your bare feet, and I also wouldn't recommend sitting on the benches. It's all covered in carpet in its absolutely gross, I don't know when the last time it's been cleaned. Really wish they would just get rid of the carpet.All that said, this is still my happy place. It's a good location, I like the pool Even though there's rust falling in it from the heat ducts above. It's nice that they have an outside pool too for summer. I like the weights area upstairs it's nice and large, and half walls around it and through the middle give more places to do different workouts and break up the space nicely, and the walking running track around the wait area is nice.

The gym is nice. The installations are clean and i do like the open space. I have been a member for 10+ years and I have never seen so many high school kids in any other gym!!! The hordes of high school kids without common courtesies make it really difficult to workout. Not sure why that gym got taken over like that in the past two or three years. As much as I liked this gym I have to go to other locations here and there to get a good workout.

My significant other and I had our initial training with body composition testing with Jeff this morning at 5:30 AM!! Can’t wait for our second session! He is awesome!!!!

I began training with Cassie Walters, three months ago with the goal of being in shape to snow ski. I have now had the opportunity to reap the rewards of these training sessions. The first day out this ski season was absolutely phenomenal. Cassie has been fantastic to work with. She has listened to my goals and developed a training program that met those goals. Besides that she is a delight to work with and has become a dear friend over this period of time. I would highly recommend Cassie as a personal trainer.

Loved the pool! Great for my kids. Staff is kind. Free samples of protein shakes as well! Very spacious, with a good variety of equipment. Will definitely be returning!

Gym equipment like the one in attached photo needs maintenance. Gym functions overall but equipment will time to time be out of service. This should be a high priority for the gym to address or they will lose customer base.

Training with Jeff has been a great experience. He always has a positive and encouraging attitude. He is very knowledgable and thoughtful when planning each work out. Since working out with Jeff I've lost fat, built muscle and had a great time.

Genesis (formerly Prairie Life) has been my neighborhood gym for more than 5 years. I tried out Lifetime but I missed Genesis so much that I returned after only a few months. Debbie and the staff at Genesis will go out of their way to help you have the best experience. I highly recommend this gym for the great neighborhood, the amenities, community and staff!
