When I first walked in to drop off my resume as a PT, I was immediately greeted right away! The gym atmosphere is clean and friendly! The machines are the best of the best and still continuing to get the most updated equipment there is! I’m glad to be working as a Golds Gym PT! I love to see my clients make progress, reach their fitness goals and feel amazing after a great workout!

I love this gym! Super nice and clean always. I’m always at this gym, it’s rare to find a broken machine but when one is down the management are super quick to repair the machines. Also it’s a Great atmosphere for kids!! Front desk people are always so friendly. They also never fail to have great merchandise for sale! I recommend this gym to everyone!

gym? more like home. from the moment i walk in i am greeted by smiling faces and a warm welcoming staff. the cleaning crew leaves the gym looking spotless. the locker rooms are spacious and clean. the machines are very well maintained, i first used the facility on a three day pass and it was the best 3 days of my life. the gym smells fresh and new every time i walk in. i would never change gyms from the front desk employees to the personal trainers who are always ready to help me meet my goals and be a better version of myself, and dont forget the superb management. Anthony is a great manager and is passionate about making the gym a comfortable environment for all members at golds gym.... you are the BEST.

I’ve been at the Wedgewood gym for 8 months and love it. The staff is friendly and greets me when I enter and leave. The equipment is clean, sturdy and well maintained. The general areas & locker rooms are very clean and always smell good. The highlight of the gym is the classes. I absolutely enjoy every class I take with them so much, I completely schedule my personal routine around them. The instructors are very friendly & approachable, the classes are challenging and fun, the music is helps push through. I highly recommend this gym to anyone who ask!

This is going to be a very long and thorough review. If you're considering a gym membership here, please read...I'm a meathead. I work out a lot. You should take my review quite seriously if you do the same.Things I liked:- the gym is adequately climate controlled- gym floor cleanliness is maintained for the most part- plenty of young eye candy for the men- Amanda LoeschThings I did not like:- there is no sense of community here; people BS on equipment and never put anything away- the men's bathroom sinks had trap issues the entire 13 months I worked out there; was never fixed and always smelled like sewage in there- the soap in the bathroom is almost always heavily diluted with water- it is expensive to work out here and all you get is weights, cardio, and sauna; everything else is extra and you will be charged miscellaneous fees throughout your membership- the water filters would go several days without being changed when the indicator said otherwise and I notified the staff- with the exception of Amanda, there are no other trainers on the staff that have any business telling me what to eat and how to work out- there are only two locations; the drive from far NE EP to the far east or I-10 is atrocious- the main trainer (Angela Torres) never gave me my free training session (not that I need it, but it is an entitlement) as part of my gym membership; never got my free smoothie either because they closed down the bar before I could redeem it- the hours are terrible; gym was 24 hours when I first joined and then was promptly changed soon thereafter.- the gym is closed on odd days; new year's: closed, easter: closed, columbus day: closed (gym should only be closed for Thanksgiving and Christmas).- a few of the staff members behind the desk are rude; although I think that one b**** quit or was fired- the gym had no WiFi; this is 2019 and they charge a premium price, I would expect at least a small amount of data to spare- the clothes and supplements (no longer sold) were way overpriced; only bought a towel my entire time there- the gym has a policy against group training w/o hiring one of the Gold's personnel; at 0600 there's a softball team that comes in and runs half of the floor with no recourse and makes working out for the next 60 mins quite difficultIf you just want to go look at the ladies, politic with your friends, and don't mind paying well over $400/year for membership, go right ahead. This is your gym. However, there are other options in El Paso. I switched to EP Fitness ($215/year) and haven't looked back. I guess I'm just a cranky old man, but if you're serious about training you'll reconsider.

I went to Gold’s Gym in ABQ for years in college. Due to my absolutely great experiences all around I had a high impression of Golds name in the fitness industry. I was recently activated for military duty & temporarily live in a hotel across town, far away from home & family. Because there’s only one Golds location (currently) I decided the long drive was worth checking out the facilities. My first two times going to Gold’s we’re really great. Andrea, a respectful & polite, very knowledgeable fitness instructor gave me a tour & invited me to her fitness class. They’re included in the membership, which is fantastic! I like using machines & free weights, too. So, I asked about the fees: First I was told they’re doing a deal, currently $34.50/month. Later I found out that’s only if you sign a 12-month contract. Then it’s a $30 cancellation fee. When I asked if the fee is waved for military because I may only be here 3 months, the manager, who wasn’t very friendly with me, but was obviously polite to other ppl retorted, saying “my husband is prior service and that’s just the way it is.” I felt like my being a customer was devalued by the unfortunate interactions I had with some of the staff. I would’ve liked to have a smile & some reassurance, maybe show me why the membership is so great instead of feeling like I don’t matter & Im asking too much.

Really liked this gym until we ended up getting screwed when we moved. When we signed up for a 3 months special they were offering we paid everything but the personal training up front. We told them we’d only be there for 3 months until we moved and told them to only charge us for the personal training for 3 months. They didn’t do that. We got charged 200 a month for two months after we were gone because they said I didn’t cancel it even though we had informed them at the beginning. I didn’t even have a membership tied to it that was being charged anymore. Just personal training at a place I was no longer a member. Didn’t make sense at all. All emails to them asking for a refund were completely ignored. Wouldn’t recommend golds at all. I’m even leaving the golds I’m at now because of this. Ridiculous.

Nice gym filled with people that are focused on working out and getting in shape. Try to avoid going at the peak hours to make sure you have equipment available and don't have to wait. The worst part about this gym is that people don't rack their weights where they belong. Otherwise, the equipment is nice and taken care of. Best gym in town that I've been to.
