Should be a 0 Star but sadly there is no option for that......the guy that signed my wife up lied and screwed her up with a price that we did not agree with AND she canceled on the phone before the cancellation deadline but then later on charged anyways. Do not go to these SCAM ARTISTS

The facility is maintained well but if you have anything that you need help with anything administrative they have few staff to help, don't have voicemail for those staff, and don't take appointments so you end up either waiting a long time or coming back. At another time hoping the right people are working or both.

We moved here from Illinois and have been members of Calfit for about 4 years. When I started going to Calfit I was working out on my own, I would get bored and notice little improvement until I met Carol Viano-Nitschke. At first I was attending her classes 2 to 3 days a week and noticed I was getting stronger and loved it!! Now I see her 5 days a week and travel to Laguna and bond to attend her classes. I am not the only one who does. Her classes are usually full and never boring. She always has something new, fun and challenging. Carol is extremely knowledgeable. She also gives advice about health and nutrition. Everyday I look forward to going to the gym and attend her classes. Joining Calfit was one of the best decisions we have made. I call it my happy place!!

Update on Tuesday, 16th: I initiated the conversation since I had not heard back from Sarah, but she alleviated my fears that something would not be done about the situation. She was caring, made me feel heard and gave me a voice because she asked my opinion of how I would like to see the situation handled. I am appreciative and satisfied with the outcome. On Saturday, a man walked inside the women's locker room while I was half naked. When I saw him, I realized he was only 10-15 ft from me . I panicked, covered myself and yelled at him to leave and he responded by saying he didn't have to leave. I threatened to call the police and he left. I got dressed and found a staff member who then located him. The staff member, Jose, then told me the guy would be escorted out.I thought it was odd he didn't ask me for my contact info and after I got my stuff from the locker room, I went to speak with Jose again. I asked him if he could contact me once there was a decision made about the guy. His response was he couldn't tell me what would transpire. I asked him why he didn't ask me for my contact and for more details earlier. He told me he was following company policy. I insisted on giving him my contact info and describing what happened as I feel he didn't understand the extent of the situation. He made me feel like he had done his part already and could care less. I was half naked and a man walked in and was openly defiant towards me when I told him to leave! I felt so violated and scared. If I am the person the issue happened to, how could he not think it was important to take down my contact info and specific details? I had to be proactive and ask him all the questions, in addition to describing the incident. He made me feel as if I was taking up his time. I left his office feeling frustrated and I'm not entirely sure if they are going to take action against the person. I'm disappointed at his actions, even though he said he was acting per company policy. What kind of policy doesn't address the victim of a crime? If he were somewhat sympathetic instead of being brisk and abrupt with me, I would have have been upset but less frustrated. After a traumatic incident, it's important to have closure.. to feel safe at a place you are paying to attend. How am I supposed to feel safe in the locker room when the situation was handled in this manner?Update: It is now monday. I called the corporate office and the person in the phone told me the manager, Sara, would contact me. No call yet.

The music in the gym is so loud that I cannot hear with my own headphones even at the highest volume. Attempts to deal with it fell on deaf ears and assertions that music blasting was a necessary motivator which actually seems antithetical to healthy exercise. I requested a written response and provided my email. Nothing. I suggest they move some cardio machines to the other side of the gym. Their attitude is leading me to consider quitting after 7 years.

Very poor customer service! If you're thinking about joining this gym don't! Join crunch fitness or 24hr fitness or any other gym for this matter. After canceling my membership for nearly 2 month, I notice that my credit card is being charged every month. When I spoke with Selena the supervisor and showing her proof of cancelation she told me that I have to "inform them 30 days prior to canceling" and that "my account can't be cancelled for another 2 months" honoring my contract...The problem in that is Ive been informed that my account was "supposedly" cancelled and finding out that its been active for 2 months... 2 months of me paying for a gym that I don't go to...After being with calfit for nearly 6 or 7 years Im never joining again. If you think that this might never happen to you.. think again because I have been having issues with calfit the day I signed up... Good luck people I'm just sharing my experience

A great Sacramento gym to get in a good workout. Good selection of weights, well maintained racquetball courts, and a nice hot sauna. But, if you're looking for a relaxing hot post workout shower this is currently not the place. Showers in the men's locker room are lukewarm at best sometimes bordering on cool. It's been this way for about a month and a half or so and though I mentioned this to the counter staff nothing has been done. Hopefully the hot showers will return once the cold weather returns.

This particular one has the filthiest men’s lock room that I’ve seen. The floors alone will make your skin crawl.
