In-Shape Family Fitness

I absolutely hate California family fitness, I feel like I have been ripped off, Kate Perry was so quick to get my business, I told her I do not want to be in a contract, and I wanted to try it out for a month first before committing to anything. She said OK and priced me on month to month. I ask her on the same day. When do I have to cancel before getting charged another month, . Kate told me before October 31 and ask me to cancel 4 to 5 days before October 31 to avoid another months charge. We decided we weren’t going to stay in California so I canceled on October 21, which is way more than the time she asked me to give them before canceling September comes, California family fitness, drafted money from my account, so I called and asked Kate what happened, she told me I did absolutely nothing wrong on my end, she said she would talk to a manager on getting the funds credited back into my account, and the manager will call me the next day, three days later, no call, I had to call in again. I spoke to a manager, called chris. Chris told me there was a two month’s charge minimum. I told him Kate never told me that. and he said they would call me back the next day after talking to Kate. But that didn’t happen, I had to call back a couple days later, and spoke to Kate, she told me there was a two month minimum charge before I can cancel. She told me it was in the contract, I told her “you specifically told me to cancel before October 31, and you did not tell me about the two month minimum.” She tried to offer me a month of free work out to make up for her wrong doing, I told her you can offer me 2 to 3 months I would not come back ever again. Bottom line, I would NEVER go back to California family fitness!!!! and definitely will not refer any friends and family to California family fitness!!!! They are so quick to take your money and will promise you anything just to get your business. I had to call multiple times and the problem still isn’t solved. Made me feel like they wanted me to give up pursuing the credit. I care less about the extra month’s charge, it’s about principal. Kate lied!!!!!!

I've been a member since 2010. I absolutely love and will never leave! They offer more than just exercise equipment. In addition to a great workout, you can spend a spa day in the sauna, get a massage, take a yoga class. It is a great place for a playdate for kids with the daycare, playground and pool. They also have a rock-climbing wall which is fun and safe for all ages. All this and so much more.

Love this gym! Great atmosphere and great energy!

Good environment, friendly staff members, it's kept clean and the supplies are restocked as needed.

Maybe its time to clean the Pool? put a little bit of apoxy sealer to keep the cement chiping from hurting peoples feet?

I'm waiting for my contract to expire so I can stop going here. Too many people, the air is stuffy, and the sanitizing bottles are scarce and almost always empty.

Kate is awesome!!!! She went above and beyond to help me today. I’m grateful for people like her. Thank u so much for being wonderful

It is clean and it is not as crowded as other health clubs. I wish the shallow pool was indoors so I could use it during the winter.

Still not the same gym as pre pandemic.... Used to be much cleaner, pool shower doesn't work, equipment not in the best shape...
