Life Time in Skokie, IL offers an extensive range of amenities including pools, fitness classes, and facilities tailored for families. The club prides itself on being a welcoming place for individuals of all ages, especially children. Despite plentiful amenities, issues with cleanliness, overcrowding, and maintenance persist, affecting the overall member experience.
Certain aspects like the conversion of basketball courts to pickleball, restrictive guest policies, and poor customer service detract from the gym's appeal. While some members find the premium pricing justified by the amenities, others feel the cost is too high for the provided services.

Be aware of their bad business practice! They talked me into sign on an one-to-one training program, but did not inform me of the price at all, the paper shows no price information. then charged my credit card $1272. When I went to get the signed paper, they filled in the charge, and insist that it WAS there when I signed! NO WAY! This guy is a big lier!!!If you experience similar problem, please leave a comment. I don't believe I am the only victim. I am disputing through my credit card company now.The atmosphere there is good, all services are friendly. I felt like they are trustworthy. Big mistake!!!

THE BEST! So much more than a "gym". Instructors are amazing and helpful. Entire facility is very clean. Friendly and fun Kids Academy staff. Excellent spa services. Café has an great healthy menu and helpful staff. (Highly recommend the banana granola smoothie!) :)

Good equipment and staff. Major problem is the failure to adequately notify users of major changes. I was one of at least ten men who were baffled why the lockers were changed from a keyed system to combination locks. We were all annoyed. Had we been told the reason for the change we would have accepted it. Because Lifetime Fitness is child friendly, you should not conclude that your membership consists totally of children.

I signed up for Life Time Old Orchard before the facility was even finished. I've been going almost every day since then and still love sitting in the hot tub whether I worked out or not. Over the years I have run a half marathon on a treadmill to celebrate my 40th Birthday, I have gone to countless yoga classes and bulked up on the free weights. I like that I have options to do anything I want when I feel like it. Highly recommend Life Time for an individual or family to enjoy together. Good stuff.

I AM PICKY- (USED TO BE AT EAST BANK CLUB) AND I LOVE IT! I GO EVERY DAY. THERE IS ALWAYS A MACHINE OPEN NO MATTER THE TIME OF DAY, THE STAFF IS FABULOUS, I FEEL SO AT HOME AND IT IS CLEAN AND I HAVE HIGH STANDARDS. BOTH OF MY KIDS LOVE THE KID CENTER AND THE STAFF THERE. NEVER HAD A PROBLEM AND I HAVE BEEN A MEMBER FOR 15 YEARS.

Was 4 star but the new Jungle gym sucks and wastes space. They also removed the deadlift machine to make room but I used that machine and I'll never use the useless tubes. What a waste.

I am a member of lifetime athletic vernon hills. I decided to check out the old orchard location to see how it was and was highly disappointed to find out that this particular club is very old and one of the dirtiest lifetimes I've been in, in fact the locker room smelled so bad it reminded me of the horrible locker room at Bally's north shore on dempster back in the day. This club is more equivalent to a Bloomingdale or Schaumburg location which needs major upgrades. It is completely unworthy of being awarded the name lifetime athletic when it's clearly a substandard lifetime fitness. I am clueless that this club is diamond when my club in vernon hills is onyx and Is far superior in every way to this club. In fact this club is lucky to be of platinum status because the burr ridge club is the second nicest in the Chicagoland area. Skokie is in the armpit of the North shore, so who's interest are you protecting by making this a diamond club. Lifetime should be ashamed of its self for this particular club. It's way below standard with its status. You should drop the club to platinum till you remodel the whole facility to match Vernon hills. This club cannot compare at all with a real lifetime athletic club.

I have been a member of many gyms over the years, this is the best! The kids Academy is wonderful and I feel good about leaving my toddler there while I workout. The pool is great in the summer.

Terrible gym. Dirty. Smells bad. Staff is not helpful and only has one goal: making money. Not the gym you want to sign up at. There's plenty of gyms out there that cost way less. I'm surprised they're still around with all the bad reviews

Gets very crowded at nearly all times. The free weights are literally everywhere. The machines and cardio equipment are dated and needing of replacement. This is an Onyx level gym, however it is nowhere near as nice as the Vernon Hills location (also Onyx level). It is understandable why they are building a Diamond level club in Northbrook.
