Life Time in Skokie, IL offers an extensive range of amenities including pools, fitness classes, and facilities tailored for families. The club prides itself on being a welcoming place for individuals of all ages, especially children. Despite plentiful amenities, issues with cleanliness, overcrowding, and maintenance persist, affecting the overall member experience.

Certain aspects like the conversion of basketball courts to pickleball, restrictive guest policies, and poor customer service detract from the gym's appeal. While some members find the premium pricing justified by the amenities, others feel the cost is too high for the provided services.

  • Friendly and accommodating staff.
  • Spacious pool facilities, both indoor and outdoor.
  • Dedicated spaces for children and family activities.

Cons:

  • Issues with cleanliness and maintenance.
  • Overcrowded facilities during peak times.
  • High membership cost.

Was a member here for years and I just recently joined again only to find out the outdoor pool access is not included in your membership!!! Like are you serious talk about leeches and money hungry people who have no respect for their customers !!! Are you serious 220 a month is not enough to access a outdoor pool that belongs to your gym ??? Greed always destroys good things!

Been coming for a month or two now, very clean but some of the cable machines, or any type really, are missing the pin that hd the weights. Rendering them useless. They also do not have proper wipes to use on the machines to clean after use.

I wish I had an option for a 0 star because this gym deserves it.Staff is so rude. They make it obvious they don't care about you or the money you're paying. This location comes up with their own policies on the spot, that no other lifetime has in place, and they're very good at being creative with those just to make you leave. I've left many complaints about the staff before but never heard anything back. This place is overcrowded and no machines are ever available, on top of the fact that they're always dirty. Save your money and go someplace else

Been a member of this club for years now only reason I still have my membership is for the other LifeTime locations such as Schaumburg. This rim has been like this for weeks now and doesn’t seem like they’re going to do anything about it. As someone who enjoys playing basketball especially FULL COURT basketball this upsets me. They already took away one of the basketball courts and replaced it with pickleball the least they can do is maintain a good condition of the one and only court they have. Replace the rims and nets when broken and please wipe the floors especially after kids birthday parties/events and zumba. Been to other Lifetimes in different states too such as Arizona and this Lifetime club in Old Orchard is by far the worst one I’ve been to. They’re lucky its the closest one to my house or else I wouldn’t step foot in that facility.

It’s weird the prices went up, but the hours went down. How is that fair? I hope they get back to 24 hours soon. Otherwise the price is just not worth it.

Horrible service, came to switch my whole family to this particular gym. There is no free onetime training, based on 3,8 star reviews it’s a good thing to check gym before signing, they couldn’t do a tour, only by appointment for next week, no manager on site to speak with.

Good gym in a convenient location. Pool for lap swimming gets crowded and swimmers do not like to share or split the lanes. Great to get a hair cut and a coffee at the cafe.

I was a member of this gym from 2011 to 2019 and loved it for its 24-hour accessibility. However, following the COVID-19 pandemic, I decided to cancel my membership. Recently, I contacted the gym and was surprised to learn that they have really raised their prices while reducing their hours!!! It's not worth it won't sign up again.

Terrible experience, I had come to the men's locker rooms to put my belongings away. In the locker room there were numerous naked old men walking out the showers, I looked away in disgust and went to the sauna. Upon returning to collect my belongings I had seen two naked old men changing and talking to each other right next to my locker.
