Life Time in Skokie, IL offers an extensive range of amenities including pools, fitness classes, and facilities tailored for families. The club prides itself on being a welcoming place for individuals of all ages, especially children. Despite plentiful amenities, issues with cleanliness, overcrowding, and maintenance persist, affecting the overall member experience.

Certain aspects like the conversion of basketball courts to pickleball, restrictive guest policies, and poor customer service detract from the gym's appeal. While some members find the premium pricing justified by the amenities, others feel the cost is too high for the provided services.

For two years I have been informing club staff that their accessible rooms for people with disabilities are not sufficiently accessible: surveys, oral and written messages. Not a single person who uses a wheelchair and cannot stand can use the shower rooms in the form in which they have existed for all these two years. All this time we found a way to put up with these problems, but after some "improvements", the situation with accessibility became even worse. For more than two months I have been regularly reporting tired and in writing about the acute need to replace at least the hose in accessible shower rooms. This proved to be an incredibly intractable problem for the club and general manager Juan - too busy to show up for work. Poor service for your money.

I've been to this Lifetime a handful of times, and it's absolutely horrible. The club is filthy, the machines are in bad condition, the layout is poor, and the locker room reeks. I genuinely don't get why this is on the same tier as clubs like Southdale, which is phenomenal, and even above clubs like Target Center, which is ten times nicer. If this is your local Lifetime, it's not worth the money.

Like a lot of businesses, Lifetime isn't the same as it was prior to the pandemic. I used to give it 4 or 5 stars, but it just isn't as clean as it once was, particularly the locker rooms and shower area. The workout area often is in chaos. To be fair, a lot of this is due to members not cleaning up after themselves, but that also tells you something about the club, when patrons don't take pride in it. And it isn't cheap, you could find plenty of other gyms for a lot less.

Unfortunately, there are kid swim teams/lessons that take up 3/5 adult lanes after work hours (4:30-7 pm) every single solitary day. I was not informed of this prior to signing up for the gym and that was the whole reason I started going. For the price, definitely not worth it.

Bring back Matt Tilburg..New GM will not last here as Quality Control and cleanliness has fallen hard and fast. Attached are pics from Sun Feb 20. Dont pay $120 a month for this.

Beware this new member is stepping and bumping into people and chasing behind them while exiting the locker room as he is being odd &disrespectful to people and the staff didn't remove him Adam to be specific watched him run up from behind me in threatening manor as I was exiting locker room and employee witnessed it standing by my left side did nothing about it. I been there since they opened never had that happen to me there or seen their employees ignore something so serious!

Honestly really disappointed with this gym. You guys took away a basketball court and made a pickle ball court that I have not seen been used yet. When you guys had the second basketball gym, you had more usability. That court could have been used for multiply array of activities. What you guys should have done is installed a system to raise the basketball hoops when needed for other activities. Now you can’t even play basketball until the evening, when all those classes you do in the gym are finished. GET RID OF THE PICKLEBALL COURT. What a waste of money. You could have instead, was build a pickleball court outdoors.

This gym costs $50/month more than Schaumburg lifetime. I'm NO fan of schaumburg but the schaumburg location is better. Much better.

Very bad customer service - spoke w/Roxanne who sounded very bothered by questions for a possible membership - she was not attentive and new very little about the company's website - I would steer clear of this club, based on previous …
