Life Time in Skokie, IL offers an extensive range of amenities including pools, fitness classes, and facilities tailored for families. The club prides itself on being a welcoming place for individuals of all ages, especially children. Despite plentiful amenities, issues with cleanliness, overcrowding, and maintenance persist, affecting the overall member experience.

I was in the gym playing basketball with some friends when I look over and see Roxanne who is the manager, going thru my property and taking photos of my property without my consent or knowledge. It was a complete invasion of my space. I was being respectful and when I had asked for the same back there was a problem. When I seen her after the incident she went on and said “ you think i’m scared of you “. This is completely childish and very low of the lifetime associates to treat a member with this utter disrespect, especially with her being the manager, I would expect a lot more from a manager. Not this rude childish behavior. I like coming to this gym but when I get treated like complete garbage after having the upmost respect it gets irritating. The last person I’d expect to treat a member like this would be a manager.. yet it was.

Honestly man. Wth... U guys take down both basketball courts when you had so much basketball traffic. A lot of people come here to play and I understand you guys have guests sneaking in to play. But u guys should fix that problem at the front desk and not take away something people pay for. Especially when most of your members play basketball than pickleball. You guys say you want diversity when a handful of people are even using these courts during the day! On top of that, you guys have classes on the basketball side (that people would use more) instead of the pickle ball side (that's empty). I mean c'mon y'all...really?. It seems like u don't want anyone to play basketball here... You guys should have built a system where you can raise basketball rims up so when people come in to play pickleball they can just raise the hoops so there's room to play pickleball. Since people barely play pickleball here its always dead on the pickleball side. If you guys really want to get rid of members or don't want people to play basketball due to heavy traffic and sneaking in guests then fix that system another way. Don't take it away from others who pay a lot for this gym for something you guys can build a better system around.

I can't imagine a fitness center or gym containing a more complete package of equipment, courteous employees, salon, cafe, and so many other amenities. If I lived anywhere close, this would be my preferred gym by FAR. I'll also post a picture of the amazing frittata the Cafe made me post-workout. Fantastic place, can't wait to come back!

Whoever decided to replace the basketball court with a pickle ball court shouldn’t make any future decisions ever again. Not to mention you removed the basketballs so you have to bring your own now. Probably gonna switch to LA Fitness since I only paid the high price for the two courts.

One of the worst experience i have had at Lifetime. I felt that our family was not welcomed by the lady in the front. She told us that guests cannot use the pool on the weekends but failed to tell us that indoor pools are open for guests. Later when i confronted, she apologized and said she assumed that we were going to use the outdoor pool. I live close by but will never consider joining here.

Positive: Large gym! Excellent equipment for all ranges of exercise. Staff is incredible and accommodating. Cafe is convenient.Negative: Hardly any people (gym members) wear masks even though there is a global pandemic as I write this. At least there are hand sanitizer and sanitizing wipes set out (albeit no one seems to use them).

I’ve been to a ton of Lifetimes around the U.S and this Skokie Lifetime is by far the worst of them all which is a disappointment, because it is the closest Lifetime to me. I’ve been a member since 2003 and I do not understand why they are a Diamond level. Not much has changed besides adding Q-tips, mouthwash, shavers etc. They have a limited supply in workout machinery and have a ton useless open space for HIT training or whatever they do with it , which no one ever uses.Their basketball courts are used and abused by kids camps, Zumba classes and now pickle ball LOL. The flooring has tons of dead spots, it is always filthy and dirty which is a high risk to injury. They took down 1 side of the basketball courts to revamp into a pickle ball court. It’s deff not worth the money nor do they deserve a diamond level as a club. This gym is literally an overpriced Xsport or LA Fitness, don’t waste your money or time.

My two friends and I signed up to take a tour. We were actually ready to sign up but we wanted to check everything out and see what there was to offer. This guy comes to tour us and literally walked and talked so fast we had no idea what anything was. He was about 10 feet in front of us, never gave eye contact, said down the hall is bathrooms and showers and pool is through here. Courts are here and there are rooms with classes. Upstairs is equipment. Any questions? Ok well I’ll leave you here and if you want to sign up then go downstairs and ask someone for help. Couldn’t believe the service. We did our own tour and figured out where everything was but horrible. We decided not to sign up just for this experience.

So. Two more weeks have passed since the publication of the review about unaccessible showers at Lifetime Old orchard and two years about talking about it and unsuccessful by customer opinion job of its manager Juan .. And .. Do you think the situation in the club has changed? Of course not! Are you sure you want this level of service buying the membership?

I love this gym, the only thing that doesn't make this facility great is that almost every time I get checked in the staff member is literally looking at tiktoks or something else on his phone and makes literally no effort for eye contact....I know its what to expect of his generation,...still rude. My family and friends who go here have noticed the same, its usually just one of the male staff in particular so can't say its a lifetime thing, but he's always there so I wish management would address him for it.
