Excel Fitness Fair Oaks

Need to write a review of my favorite gym. Love this gym but need to point out something that ticked me off yesterday (Wednesday). I came to the gym around 1pm. The wet towel dispensers were empty, the men's bathroom was a mess, there was chalk on the ground, and the floors were dirty. The manager and an employee were sitting down at the front desk talking the entire time I was there and did nothing for 3 hours even after I left. Middle of workout went to front to get a towel and both were still talking, doing nothing.

I had my membership for 24 hours and got a full refund. The people at the front desk were not helpful when I simply asked where the restroom was my first time coming in. It was a very judgmental environment. The only time of day where the gym isn’t packed with people would be 4 AM or midnight which doesn’t work for my schedule. When I went there wasn’t a si glue machine available. They claimed to require masks but everyone takes them off and doesn’t enforce the rule which is unfortunate. I switched to Golds Gym which is by far superior.

Best gym in Northern California and beyond. Incredible value, sauna, massage chairs, and they even still add machines, weights and equipment. Ditch the commercial gyms that look down upon people who just want to push themselves to be better and stronger without being looked down upon for wanting to breathe the air of life, unfilitered. Thank you to the owner(s) and employees for running such a place it means a lot more especially in these times. Customer for life!

I love this facility. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. There is a variety of great equipment that is all kept in good working order. The gym is clean, and has a lowkey/focused atmosphere.I appreciate the 24 hr access, sauna, towel service, and massage chairs.

Literally the best gym I ever went to and will keep on going to. Don't know why there even bad reviews here. The staff here are very helpful and are very nice. Gym is always being cleaned by cleaning people that I see every morning and also by the staff. The atmosphere of the gym is what makes me want to come back everyday.

Rebecca and Nate are unfortunately a part of the incredibly soft, but vocal minority. One of the best gyms I have been to, drive 20 minutes daily to come here. Staff is cleaning CONSTANTLY, plus members are very consistent with wiping down equipment after use. Excel is consistently buying new equipment that their members recommend, and always are looking for ways to improve their facility. Staff is always friendly and readily available to help. I look forward to being a part of this gym as they continue to grow, and am grateful people such as Rebecca and Nate won’t be infecting the facility with their negative/whiny attitudes.. keep it up guys!

Great gym, good equipment (good bars, machines, weights, and the treadmills are in good condition), pretty clean, very helpful and friendly staff. The only thing I don't like is that I can always hear the music through my noise canceling headphones. It's loud. If you enjoy that though, then that's not a problem for you. Definitely recomend, especially at the price.

I’ve been working out here for several months. Great place and friendly staff. Plenty of good equipment and I love having massage chairs and a sauna available, both have really improved my mental/physical health. When I first signed up late last year, it was a little bit dirtier than I would have liked, especially in the bathrooms. However, lately it feels like they’re improving. Great value, good culture. I appreciate the freedom 💪

Love this gym. Signed up specifically because they didn't mandate the mask. On top of that, they are super clean as much as possible. It's a gym, at times it gets dirty, it's normal but the staff does a great job at going around and cleaning up.I drive a special distance to this gym be because it's about as real as a real gym gets. I love it.Constant equipment upgrades and always are interested on what their customers want. The only attentive gym I've been too. Really sticking to the G code and keeping it the way it's supposed to be. You can tell they are not hungry for your money but a healthy and dope environment!Excel to the top let's go!

Literally not even their staff(sitting behind desks or cleaning) are wearing masks. And clearly that nightly cleaning is not actually happening. I wiped one free weight and it was absolutely disgusting.
