Fun place with good bouldering and top rope options! The ratings feel a little inconsistent but if you're willing to try out several you'll find a comfortable level and somewhere to push yourself to. Friendly staff, good atmosphere.

Huge space, tons of routes. Pretty cool youth area and toddler room. Nice isolated area (no chalk) with treadmills and weights.Setting is okay, some problems are a lot of fun. I like using the V-scale but it’s not very consistent, I’m sure it will improve with time.No auto belays?A lot about community, but the climbing community is and always will be spread out among several gyms. It’d be nice if they all shared a day or two a month or found some other way to collaborate, it would only strengthen the community. A rising tide raises all boats. Maybe a dirty local reality show called Setter Swap?

I was a little hesitant to come to this gym after reading their description on their website. In my opinion it came off pretty pretentious and it's hard to want to go hang out with pretentious climbers. That being said, Id have to say everybody was super nice, super inviting, ready to help not any pretension anywhere. They have a great facility with huge areas of stand-alone boulders that you can top out on. Lots of rope stuff too if your into that. All the training equipment you could ever want. I will definitely be getting a membership here.I would rewrite your opening paragraph on the website though. Maybe tone it down a bit. bit that's just my opinion take it or leave it.

Great to have a climbing community based gym in FOCO... no elitist issues here (unlike their competitor who I had a year membership at), route setting is good (can be improved for shorter climbers). Staff is attentive and interactive with guests. Looking forward to see them grow, prosper and be a long standing members of our community.

Whetstone is the best climbing gym I have ever visited. I would like to think that it is a world class rock climbing training facility with all the bells and whistles. I would have given five stars if they had a designated beginner area to offer more for youngsters to try. They had 5.11 and 5.12 climbs next to 5.2s. I think having that back corner just for kids would help to keep them from running around to much. I took my 8 year old and found that there was only two climbs he could do. It would be great if there were more in the beginner level.

Very clean! Great routes with lots of options for all climbers. Little bit out of the way for me and a little expensive. If it was closer and I could use it as my fitness gym and my climbing gym it would make more sense. But as I only climb once a week it is hard to justify making the switch. I would be more likely to switch if there was a more affordable option for someone like myself who only climbs once a week. Maybe a 4 pack that is 52$ or a 24 pack that is $288.00. I know all four of the people in my group would switch at that rate.

What an amazing staff. I brought a group of Cub Scouts to climb and as you might imagine it is rather chaotic to wrangle a bunch of boys with varied climbing ability. Our belayers ran lines for a solid 2 hours and were teaching the boys along the way. Great gym!

It's a great place to climb! I have both of my children signed up for classes here, and the instructors are patient and kind. There are a wide range of walls available, and they're changed up with regularity.

Great place. Good service. Very kid friendly place with the kids are isolated in the back away from the bouldering and lead climbing. Lots of route options.Only downside was I rented a harness and neither their large or medium worked for me. They gave me a refund, but it was inconvenient.I'll be back, especially if they introduce some kind of weekly deal.Edit: Thanks for the owner response and free pass.

We had a great time with our birthday party. 13 girls and the accommodations were great and we’d do it again. Only complaint from both kids and some of the parents in attendance is that there’s a lot of standing around waiting in line to climb with only 2-3 instructors (it definitely made a huge difference when the 3rd came to help).I know it’s not a culture you’re looking to instill, but my only recommendation would be a few auto-belay devices so that more kids can be climbing at a time.Just a thought, and a minor one at that, but for parties it would be awesome. Outside of that, GREAT staff, GREAT atmosphere, nicest and biggest climbing gym I’ve seen anywhere on the front range or in our time In Oregonwe’re talking about a family membership we were so impressed. Thanks!
