Charged $59.00 for the "Annual Maintenance Fee" on my credit card without my consent. I hate the fact that they have my credit card information and can charge whatever they want without my knowledge. I was recently charged for $59 and contacted the club. I was told that the club charges $59 for the yearly maintenance fee and I had signed for it on the stupid, what it seems like a 100 page, contract... Hate these non-transparent companies that doesn't fully explains the cost of the membership fees. I'm done with this club.

I have been a member here for several years. I found out that I am paying too much compared with my friends. so I asked for the price adjustment and the kind of manager made me visit twice like come over this week and then he said the financial department manger is not here so come over next week. OMG! I have been visiting there like more than two weeks but i did not get a phone call from the manager which was supposed to be happen last week. Then I called him then he said that he did not sure if I can get the lower price just he let the financial part known and I deserve to make this much effort and wait to get some even "not-guaranteed" discount. Oh I am breathing..... I need to wait a few days more to get the final notice. This is called "bossy". I don't wanna waste my time here anymore. I might cancel it. Good luck Gold Gym.

Google should have two ratings per place - facilities vs admin. Bad reviews about the sales people or cancellation come from people who apparently haven’t signed up for a gym before. All gyms have high pressure sales and nightmare cancellations.About the gym itself: way above average and I wish I still lived close to it. The Cardio cinema makes time fly, eucalyptus steam room is relaxing, towels are clean and available, spinning classes deliver a good sweat, tanning booth is convenient. Some members seem to be there way too much and handle all their hygiene business there which is annoying but it’s not the gym’s fault.About the sales and billing: I read the reviews on cancelling so I tried to pay upfront without a contract since I was moving. They offered me personal training instead which would include membership. They scribbled details on a sheet, not on the screen where you sign despite the contract saying nothing the sales person scribbles on a paper is valid. I then spent $50 sending a hand delivered telegram requesting cancellation and that is how I terminated my 3 great months at Gold’s.Save yourself the curiosity if 1)you aren’t serious about working out 2)you are looking for a “deal”, as this is not Planet Fitness. Take your time reading the contract on the screen (they don't give you a paper copy until you sign). The cancellation notice is not pro rated, allow yourself two month's for cancellation.

I purchase coupon at groupon $ 19.99 -for one month membership and one time training , gave it to my son. They rejected and ask to buy 6 month membership. He was member and cancelld in a year - that is their reason not to honor that coupon. manager Ben Hong.Very unprofessional and felt bad to hear that.

To sale driven and pressure buy asap. They post 7 days guest pass and don't honor it. Since i didn't sign up that day he only gavee a 1 day. Which i denied. Im new town thought this would be the gym tell sale guy come off way to pushy.... bad sale attack.

Been going here for 2 years and have never in countered a bad experience. My 2 year old son absolutely loves the kids club! Staff is very helpful and the machines work great. I love this place. No doubt in giving it 5 stars.

This gym is super annoying , it is messy,the weights are everywhere and people slam the equipment on the floor without a care in the world . Also costumer service is pretty bad , they don't greet or anything. They decide to clean certain areas when it is most busy oh and they close it ! Omg so annoyingI am just very disappointed.

Very rigid cancellation policy. Literally takes close to 2 months to stop payment. The 30 day notice takes effect from the date of next payment date, not from the time you notify them. Why cant they just cancel? Why do they have to charge for an extra cycle?The staff dont try to help when you have a problem... avoid calls and simply transfer you over to the general manager, who is hardly available

I've been to several gyms and honestly this is the best one I've ever been to as far as cleanliness, customer service and amenities. They have a cardio cinema for crying out loud! That's a movie theatre with cardio machines instead of chairs. It's great! I'm actually surprised at some of the reviews on here and I think the reviews that are negative are more to do with the customers encountered than the gym and staff. I have also, as another review mentioned, encountered the "older Korean women" who get in your personal space and dry their genitalia with the public hair dryer (WHY?!?) & are bossy, but those are customers, they don't work there, and they aren't managers so ignor them! Don't write a bad review; it's not the staffs fault. The only thing I think they could do in that situation is to maybe put a sign on the communal dryer that indicates not to use it on your privates lol, like a stick figure w/a no smoking sign there or something, but the staff is so friendly and the gym is just the cleanest gym I've been to, it smells like eucalyptus in the locker room!😌

If only there were 0 stars.... The gym is pretty cool but gets really really crowded during peak hours. I can't find my review from a few years ago so I'm posting another. This is the only establishment I've thought from time time to check and make sure my review was still there and didn't get removed. Worst service I've ever experienced. I saw the salesman/trainer out in Hermosa one night with blow all over his face and couldnt stop laughing because i kept telling him to wipe it off, since it was really obvious. Gotta do the dude a solid regardless of how I was treated. well back to my review. cool gym, not bad. Service is terrible, I was put on hold at a chair for over an hour waiting to figure out my membership etc. Keep ur expectations to a minimum and you'll be fine
