Honestly the gym itself is fine, at times it gets packed but the equipment is great. My problem is however, the management, while most of the employees are kind and helpful, the manager herself has a kind of demeaner to the customers and people who come in when she works the front desk. While she may seem well at first she becomes more and more nitpicky while going as far as to devevlop an attitude towards customers and really doesnt make me want to come back, which is a shame because 24 hours fitness offers many great facilities. Such a shame that this location lacks better management.

Very disappointed in this gym, its so dirty. It appears it has not been cleaned in months. Also, machines are broken or just old and worn out. Thinking of going back to my previous gym, it was cheaper and cleaner.

I’m not sure if the 24 hour fitnesses are franchised or just have different management teams. I’ve visited several facilities in the last two month. This one by far is the worst maintained. The sauna/hot tub had a brown nasty film floating on the bubbles. It just wasn’t clean or a well maintained facility. Sad…..

I mainly go to other 24 locations, For the purposes of travel and timing, I would go to to the Redondo Beach location until it closed. Hawthorn location was always dirty in my opinion until they cleaned it up during Covid re opening, shortly after it went back to being dirty. A lot of the times the soap despisers are empty, no tissue , no seat seat covers spray bottles for the equipment be empty and some of the guests are rude and disrespectful. I had to tell multiple people to not to sit on my car or horse play around my car. I also received a dent in my car from 2 guys playing football in the parking lot while I was walking away from it, of course I confronted them and got their info even though they went right back to playing and hit other people cars. I had also seen fights and arguments happen there. I don’t use the locker rooms anymore because twice I found bug’s moving around on the floor and inside the lockers . 4 of my friends no longer go to this location but I work many hours so I only come to this location when I’m pushing for time. In my spare time, I go to other locations besides this one.

Gym is only good for cardio. The upstairs is compacted and dirty. Now the staff is unreliable to have doors open by 5:40am so I missed the only time I can get my pump in for the day. Definitely one the worst gyms to go to but at least you don’t have to pay for parking lol

It’s a gym… you come to do cardio, lift weights, sweat, and get work done. In that sense I give the place 4 stars.I’m reading a lot of complaints about having to wait for machines and it being “too busy”. It’s not the gyms fault. Either find a time where it fits your preference or come with the expectation that you might have to wait or find an alternate machine to hit the same muscle groups you’re targeting. As for the complaints about the gyms cleanliness. I was there this morning and I’ll admit I saw a napkin here and there, an empty plastic water bottle here and there. Gyms fault? No. It’s the communities fault. Sadly some people weren’t raised to respect other people’s space by contributing to a clean environment. Like Gandhi said, “be the change you wish to see in the world”. In other words… lead by example. I had to pick up those very few empty bottles or napkins around my workout area and toss them in the trash myself and best believe people noticed and I trust the community will do the same and start cleaning up after themselves over time. If you’re thinking “that’s not my job”, then just invest in your own personal home gym where you can workout by your lonesome and keep your negative energy to yourself.Thank you 24 for providing a space to improve ourselves as a community… not just physically but mentally as well.

I’m considering canceling my membership. The equipment is ALWAYS broken, there’s wads of dust (skin, dirt, hair etc.) around, on top of, and under the machines/equipment, the bathrooms are moldy and smell horrible like sewage. There are hardly paper towels or full spray bottles because front desk staff are always socializing or on their phones. The only reason I gave this review 3 stars is because SOME of the staff are great and the sense of community you get from other members is one of a kind. We deserve better and are worthy of nice things in this neighborhood. That’s the only reason I haven’t canceled. I wish I could say this happened post pandemic because the quality of most establishments declined but unfortunately this gym was like this prior to the pandemic. I really wish this establishment would invest more into our gym because it is in desperate need of serious renovations. I understand it’s expensive but the least y’all could do is hire a cleaning service monthly to do a deep clean. There’s no reason there should be a thick layer of grime on the bikes and treadmills. The one cleaning staff that you have windex-ing glass upstairs, is a hard working gentleman, but that is not enough nor is it sustainable. Anyways, I hate to leave a review like this but nothing has changed over the years. If your looking for a gym and a sense of community from the gym go-ers is important (and nothing else) this is a great place to be.

I don't recommend this location, men's restrooms are always nasty, and water is always overflowing from the toilets, staff need to pay more attention to that instead of just walking around the gym changing the spray bottles of alcohol. And in top of that the place is always crowded.

This gym is disgusting, the showers have black mold everywhere. The restrooms smell terrible. I've come here for years and it never seems to improve it only gets worse. The machines are dirty and old. Multiple machines are broken. They close at 11 daily when I got my membership I was promised 24hrs as the name at the door implies. There are better independent gyms.
