I was surprised over how nice this fitness center is. Tons of clean equipment! I was not cramped up. I have back problems so it was more like PT for me. State of the art!

Planet Fitness in Hoover offers a variety of equipment for all levels of members. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They keep all areas very clean. It is a very welcoming atmosphere which makes my workouts an enjoyable experience.

I had to cancel my membership because I moved and no longer live near a planet fitness. Because I am hours from my "home club" I was told that if I came in person before my billing date on the 17th, they would waive the cancellation fees and next month's charge (even if the billing process had already started, they could do an override in the computer). I cancelled on the 16th, got email confirmation, and was told that all charges were waived and I no longer owed anything else. On the 17th, my card was charged for another month's membership. When I called to inquire, the man I spoke with was extremely rude and continued to talk over me throughout the entire conversation. I couldn't even get my phone number out without him speaking over me - that in itself took about 5 tries. I wish I knew his name, but I never got the chance to ask between all his mansplaining and disrespectful tone. Needless to say the conversation was unproductive, and I just gave up and accepted the charges. This is the worst customer service I've had in a very long time, and I truly hope they don't make a habit of false promises to customers.
