I work out at the 86th street location, staff is friendly, the facility and the equipments are clean and sanitized; even the people who workout there do a good job of wiping the equipment after they workout. So it comes down to what you are wanting to accomplish. If you need cardio equipment, they have plenty of it. But, if you are wanting to lift weights, you will have to wait. Not enough free weights, not enough to support all the people who are there to lift. However the facility is clean and the staff is great.

*UNDER CONSTRUCTION*No Men’s locker room…port-a-potty’s outside! Should’ve closed during construction. Go to another gym until they’ve finished here.

I have NEVER been an exercise person let alone a gym one. I decided to give it a try since I really want to be able to stand straight, walk, and be a healthy grandma. I joined and have not looked back! The staff are always friendly and willing to help. The facility is clean and feels safe. And the price is more than right! If you have the slightest inkling you are interested, try it.

So far this Planet Fitness location is the best one of the 4 I've visited in my area. It's clean, spacious, with a well-lit parking lot and they even have automatic doors. They have always been open, with a friendly and helpful staff, when their hours indicate they are open. I know that has been a challenge during this pandemic.

Clean and great staff. It's a bit small with not one barbell in the place. I'm not sure how it can be a "judgement free zone" with judgements posted all over the walls...a little hypocritical maybe???

This is my second home. Its super clean and im never nervous of going in. Always a hello and a smiling face even when I'm gross and dripping sweat. Appreciate them making it safe!

I’ve been coming to this W 86th st planet fitness for a year and my experience has been pleasant until recently. trying to situate an issue I had with a manager, who i believe is named Deja, was very unprofessional, not at all helpful and to be bluntly honest she is very rude. I had a unique situation to be solved but I was met with a closed mind and aggression. not sure why she is in manager position. Grace the other manager was very friendly, understanding and compassionate. Grace’s customer service was so great I didn’t cancel my membership after my interaction with Deja.

Good for the price. My temporary gym during the pandemic. I went back because my prior gym had issues with capacity and childcare due to the pandemic. I also had issues with being able to use the pool due to capacity restrictions. I figured I could save some money by switching to Planet Fitness until I could actually use my old gym again.

Clean venue. Staff is courteous and professional. They're taking extra steps to ensure the safety of their customers during the ongoing pandemic. All equipment are distanced, cleaned regularly, and kept to an adequate standard. Great environment!

Compared to other Planet Fitness gyms I have been to in the state this one is easily the most run down of them all. Several machines are not maintained well and staff are not very attentive on refilling the cleaning spray and paper towels. When I was unable to continue going here due to the lockdowns I tried to suspend my membership until I could actually start going out again only to find you have to go in person to have this done. Why can you not suspend/cancel your subscription online??? Overall very disappointed with this Planet Fitness location.
