First few times back since March 2020 after gyms were shut down. I only go on weekends EARLY when the crowd is low. I’ve missed it. So it’s good to get back. I do most of my exercise at home now. They have plenty sanitizing solution and paper towels. Just be your own advocate and wipe down before and after use! ☺️

My experiences have been pretty good so far - I've been a member since the beginning of June 2021. The gym FEELS clean, and I see staff cleaning very often. It doesn't smell like a stale, sweaty gym which I appreciate. They have machines marked for use to ensure social distancing, but a few available machines have been out of order for at least the duration of my membership. Gym members consciously clean behind themselves as well. Staff is pleasant although sometimes inattentive, because they are socializing amongst themselves. We took an initial tour of the gym and despite repeating several times we couldn't hear the tour guide over all the machines and behind the mask he was wearing, he apologized that that was how he talked and continued to talk in the same low tone. One of the hydro massage beds was out or had tech issues on a few separate attempts to use them. I don't like the plan options - my mother wanted to gift me a full year of the black card membership, but they wouldn't let us pay in full for it which seemed silly. When I called customer service to inquire about payment options, they actually suggested opening a separate bank account to sit the money in for monthly withdrawal. I don't understand why if someone wants to make a year commitment to your more expensive plan and give you money up front for it, you wouldn't have something in place for that, but somehow will offer full year payment option at a discount for the lower package. Overall, I love the hours, love the economical price to amenities, it feels clean, and has all the tools I need to meet my fitness goals including a very friendly fitness trainer, Jalen, who I've seen working with members and who even took time to welcome me and discuss my fitness goals with me. I also enjoy the amenities available as a black card member. Would highly recommend.

This is my go to spot. I love this gym and this location, not sure about the women’s shower part only 1 out of 3 works . Everyone is always so welcoming . No shame here. Membership isn’t that expensive. They even have a tanning bed you can lay down or stand up, they offer tanning glasses as well. They have a massage chair, you can either sit down or lay down in the hydro massage (which is my fave after a hard workout). The waters are just $1 for a large size one, which is nice and cold. It’s always refreshing for me. When you sign up they attach your method of payment to your account . That way you don’t have to bring in any cards. The locker room is nice and I’m not worried about my belongings as I’m working out . They even gave me a free gym bag and water bottle when I signed up. Such a stress reliever working out.

For the money it's a great place to workout. Doesn't have Olympic lifting or squat racks etc. But still good cheap alternative to bigger gyms. And with black card you can bring a guest.

The most friendly staff and the most fresh looking equipment of any of the Planet Fitness gyms I've visited so far! +5 kudo points to Sarah for making me feel like more than a number!

I went here today (1/23) around 4PM and it was horrible. I normally go to the Shadeland location but today went here. It was not clean at all. The women’s bathroom stalls had stuff all over the floors and when I asked the four staff members standing at the desk if they could clean the bathroom they said they would but after ten minutes they still didn’t touch it. It’s a gym so I could deal with the really bad smell of the gym, I get it but the bathrooms and changing areas could at least be clean when four staff members are just standing at the desk.

The staff are always friendly and the equipment is usually in good shape. Any needed repairs to the equipment are usually made on a timely basis. I usually go to the gym around 9:00 a.m. and have no problem in getting access to the various machines of my choice.

Been hitting up this Planet Fitness nearly every day for the last two weeks. Staff is friendly, helpful, and energetic. The people I've seen working out are polite and I don't really see people sitting on machines messing around with their phones while sitting on a machine. I'm usually in here around 3-4pm just before people are getting off of work, but I went on Oct 1st around 6pm and it was much busier, I didn't feel like I was waiting very long for any machine.The reason I'm writing the review is because I wanna shout out the staff for coming through with a big favor on Oct 1st. I won't go into details because I don't want everyone to start requesting the same courtesy for something that really feels like it should be an extenuating circumstance and not an expectation.To the dude at the counter who helped me over the phone and at the desk when I arrived, I'm grateful. You're the real VIP. The experience here has been phenomenal.

It's very clean. Very quiet. Equipment almost always works properly except for an occasional "out of order". Staff is polite. Water in the fountains is not cold enough. Great open hours. Incredible value for $10 a month. It's easily worth double that.

I, recently, resumed working out at Planet Fitness on 86th Street. The staff members are friendly and courteous. The facility is clean and adheres to the new Social Distancing and sterilization policies. I highly recommend this facility and/or location.
