This is awhile back. My cousin came from korea for a month so I got him a membership and told the person that's signing me up I only want the membership for month and going to cancel after the month and he told me to come like 2 weeks or before he leaves to remind him to cancel the membership. So I did that and I thought that was it the membership is canceled but nope I kept getting charged monthly without noticing after 3 months have gone by . So I went to management ask for a refund and at first they told me they can't do anything about it cause I don't have any proof lol so I checked my phone looked through the text and found proof saying im going to cancel the membership so they had to get me back my refund and they were so rude and unprofessional . What would of happen if I didn't have that text as proof lol shady ,don't bother messaging

Didn’t get her name, but the Woman at the front desk around closing time is very professional and friendly. Helped me get set up with a temporary card since I didn’t have one. Was the only one that offered to help me with that after going to multiple locations and having to be searched up in the system. She also helped me set up my profile picture and clearly knows how to run the front desk properly.

Terrible experience at this location and this location only. A worker named Jeff Bolton has a bad reputation and after one meeting with him I understand why. He try’s to intimidate people and is quick to be disrespectful and rude. I have also heard poor things about the gm as well and this is probably why Jeff still works there because the gm and him are very alike. The two should not be employed. Jeff should be fired immediately.

We have been a member for 5 to 6 years. We have never experience anything bad until the last few weeks. I take my son to the night runs for basketball. The first week they stole his slides and then the follow week someone walked out of the ftm with his basketball while he was playing 5 on 5. Talk to the manager the next week and he said he looked at video but before we could come up with a conclusion we got cut off. I called back twice and haven’t gotten a call back since to resolve the issue.

So there’s an employee here that goes by Jeff Bolton. I came in to get a membership and he quickly denied me and was rude for absolutely no reason. I had to go to a whole different location just to sign up. I went to this location once to ask around about Jeff, and absolutely no one had a good thing to say about him. The fact that he’s still employed here amazes me. If you choose to get a membership at this location, avoid him. People have told me crazy stories about him trying to intimidate people because a ball rolled his way to him walking away from potential members who couldn’t speak English well. All in all Jeff Bolton is the main reason why this location is probably the worst in Georgia. DO NOT COME TO THIS LOCATION!

The gym closes at 10pm on WednesdaysI got there at 9:35pm tonight and the doors were locked. The lady working at from desk saw me at the door and she was next to the door. She totally ignored me. I understand she wants to go home but she could at least talk to me and let me know but no she decided to ignore me. I saw members leaving and I asked them what time the club closer and it was at 10pmNo reason to closed the doors earlier if the gym is supposed to close at 10pmMakes no sense !

I very much like Lifetime and I even worked at this location at one point. I use all the facilities so for me it is worth the price. It’s also nice being able to freeze my membership when I go out of the country or if I’m using it less. I would put 5 stars, but I cannot due to a few reasons. This was a gold club and not too long ago became platinum, so my membership got more expensive automatically. Which wouldn’t bother me, but I have been to a number of platinum clubs up north, and they were nicer, particularly the pool area (cushions on lounge chairs and better lounge chairs in general) so I don’t understand why they went from gold to platinum (extra shampoo?). They used to be a 24 hour club, which I took advantage of sometimes. I get that it’s Covid times, but they limited the hours before that too. Also, I loved when they had the outdoor hot tub running in the winter. That was the best. Who wants to sit in a hot tub outside when it’s 90 degrees out in the summer? At least this location lets me walk around outside, and keeps the pool filled, great after the sauna. Alpharetta location used to keep their outdoor hot tub on in the winter too, as recent as last year, but this year everything is shut down and drained there, major bummer. So in conclusion, Lifetime is the best gym ever (in my humble opinion), and I will keep going here.

We purchased our gym membership so that my kids could swim during the colder months - the indoor pools super nice and has a great beach entry for kids. It was great for the first month! My first less than great experience with Lifetime John’s Creek was a female pool manager curtly yelling across the pool for me and my kids to get out - no explanation, just get out of the pool. I assumed the lifeguard needed a break, but after 30 minutes I went to the front desk check. The front desk employee responded that yes, I must have got them wrong and that the pool was closed. When I showed her the hours posted on the website, she looked confused and went and got a different manager. He immediately starting apologizing and saying that we were shooed out of the pool because they thought we weren’t members as an outside swim teacher was teaching toddler lessons nearby and they assumed I was part of that since I have young children. On the most basic level they couldn’t even be bothered to *ask* if we were members before telling us to get out? And even if we weren’t members before - being told abruptly to leave wouldn’t have endeared me to register. Not only that, but the employees working at the front desk didn’t know the hours for the pool, nor were they willing to double check. Had I not already known the hours, I would have just had to take her word for it and left.Still everyone involved (minus the female pool manager) was very kind and apologetic, so it was easy to move past this experience. The most recent experience -and the one that I have now cancelled my membership because of- is in regards to the outdoor pools. In April, a pool manager tested my 4 yr old daughter for her 25 yard swim with the promise that she would get to go down the big slides when she passed. He also said that when my son (almost 3 yrs) was ready to test out that he could as well to go down the big slides. It is important to note that there is nothing on the website regarding height requirements for the slides, so we took the manager at his word and didn’t think anything of it.When the outdoor pool opened my daughter was so excited to go down the slides and has been having a blast. My son was super excited to do that with her and had been practicing to test out. This weekend he finally felt ready and tested out with the lifeguard and manager on duty encouraging him to keep going and he’ll get to go down the slides! He was over the moon when he passed and was so proud to get his wristband. This was only until he got to the top of the slide and had the lifeguard on duty there tell him he wasn’t tall enough and neither was my daughter. Needless to say, both kids were heartbroken.I should say that I have no problem with there being rules. The lifeguard at the top of the slide was just doing his job. As for the 2 different pool managers and lifeguards that tested both of my kids in addition to the many lifeguards that had let my daughter go down before, what is the deal? How do so many people not know what is going on at their place of business?I went to cancel my membership as I already have a neighborhood pool and continued with this one so my kids could slide down the slides. I was told by the employee at the desk that the member services team would contact me by phone since this cancellation was outside the usual realm. Instead I just got a quick email from them with “It has been our pleasure to serve you in your healthy way of life goals and aspirations.” I then tried to reach out both by email and phone only to be completely ignored.I highly recommend going anywhere else for your fitness journey. Lifetime has great amenities and fortunately there are other Lifetimes nearby. This one just happens to be a special kind of disaster where no one seems to know what is going on, nor do they particularly care about resolving any issues. They are also frequently understaffed so that certain amenities are not available at any given time. The membership is too expensive for that kind of service or lack thereof.

1. Poor communication about cancellation protocols2. In-person requirement to cancel even after consistent miscommunication3. Lack of alternate options4. Excessive emails/communications to try and engage membership but poor customer service in all other operations (membership management, etc.)Businesses, understandably, operate based on their abilities to recruit members. But the membership retention here should be terrible. I would have probably placed my membership on hold for two months (and paid the fee) and then returned indefinitely but because of the mishandling of this as well as the miscommunication I will not be using Lifetime fitness again. Less about the money and more about the completely sub-par customer service. It's great until you join. I also think they push personal training on you in a way that can feel forceful so if you join do the free session but be prepared to consistently decline those offers. Another example of being income focused rather than customer focused. On a side note, everyone but management is really nice and professional.
