I will never do business with golds gym in copperas cove again. Charged me after attempting to cancel my membership for over a year. Went to location physically, told to go pound sand and then even after that called, and was told to go pound sand. Then finally after almost a year got someone to tell me to send a written thing via their online site, to witch they claim they never received and of witch there is no record. Finally emailed them and said that due to me not sending them an email earlier they are keeping the full $300+ they had been charging me from 09/2021-12/2022 and charging me $157 on top since I finally had my bank cut them off. Only for them to tell me that they'll settle for $78, best they can do. Because the only record they have is my email in December.I implore all military peeps to not do business with them either.

The classes they offer are amazing, my favorite is body pump it really helps keep me in shape. they have a good amount of machines about 3 rows of treadmills, the employees are very friendly ,I have the basic membership which is 30$ a month, no contract , best gym in the area. Hands down.

They recently started locking the resistance bands in gold's fit (which is supposed to be open for everyone now). If you have paying members, every piece of equipment should be free to use.

I try to work out every day if possible. I really like the atmosphere and equipment available. I’m 74 years old and have had reconstructive heart surgery so Gold’s is exactly what I need. I would give 5 stars except for the two things I see consistently that are not my business to say anything about.1. I see the same individuals not wiping down equipment they have been using.2. I see several individuals that tie up 3-4 pieces of equipment at the same time. I find this to be rude and inconsiderate of others. That’s it. Thanks if there is something management can do to enforce the rules.

About a week ago the assistant manager at Copperas Cove Gold's overheard a conversation I was having with front desk personnel about reviews. Instead of asking me if there was an issue, he said "you chit-chatting and not leaving?". I normal don't write reviews. However, I am not writing this review hoping for change. I writing it for the people who read reviews before making a decision. There is no gym etiquette in free weight/ mirror area, weights are left on equipment, people take video and selfies on gym floor and even in locker room. Management blames it on society and military members. They state they cannot fix neither. I filled out two surveys and they go right back to local management. Surveys did not change anything. I filled out a third survey and asked them to take me off their list. Since I have brought up my concerns, management has begun giving me dirty looks when I am in the gym. When I first started attending this gym, the equipment was older but in good working condition. Now the equipment is missing parts, not working properly or has a be back soon sign on it. When grips are replaced, they are not installed all the way on handles, making it harder to get even hand placement. Cable machine bars/handles grips are also in bad condition.Bottom line is you cannot beat membership fee at $25 a month. Gym is clean, good variety of equipment, and desk staff is respectful and courteous. You can get a good workout in by improvising around broken equipment. Overall not a bad place to workout once you accept that things are as they are and are not going to change, to include equipment. The only equipment I have seen come into that gym in 18 months is a smith machine and it came from a gym that was closing. If you choose this gym, understand it is a free for all, no rules or gym etiquette.
