24 Hour Fitness

I had a bad experience at 24 hour fitness in Downey , this one here is perfect,it has a great handball court,and the staff didn't sweat me like in Downey ,,, here's the kicker I SIGNED UP😃 …

Being a resident to Lakewood it sucks that our 24 hour gym is pretty dirty and while the staff sits on their phones. I also work crazy hours, so I can only workout from 330am-430am and it pretty disappointing when the a 24 hour employee tells me I can’t buy anything from the “24store” because it doesn’t open until 6am. Being a 24 hour gym you think they would want to take the opportunity to sell products around the clock. Maybe there is some reasoning behind the madness. I was about to spend well over $150 on protein and pre-work and other supplements. Oh well I guess I’ll just have to order them on amazon.

Nice clean gym with some newer gear for the most part...

The first time we went to this location a man came to the front desk and needed help because someon broke his lock and stole his stuff from his locker. Someone else complained about an A/C in the men's room still not work after weeks of telling them. Most of the machines are so old they don't work properly. All the machines are dirty and gross. There is paper towels all over the floor, even though they have plenty of staff standing around at the front doing nothing.

My biggest complaint is that they turn off the sauna at night for "cleaning" it takes like 10min to clean that thing the right way, when they do clean it they are done in 30 seconds to mop that tiny floor. What happened to 24 hours. The place is really dirty. They should invest a little bit more money in cleaning and electricity for the sauna.This is very shortsighted of them I have mentioned my concerns to the staff multiple times and they dont care

This franchise DOES NOT CARE about its members health & fitness. It’s a business to make a profit plan & simple! My husband has been a member for over 10 years & pays less than current rates. Although he pays his fees on time monthly, his membership was terminated because he doesn’t have a credit card on file. He doesn’t carry cards, doesn’t use them and is strictly cash & carry. So it’s extremely ridiculous that they would cancel the membership of a good customer! His membership has increased over the years and today was told by someone in corporate they want everyone paying the same amount. Seriously?? So no perks or benefits for loyal customers? I have told my husband to request a refund for this month & cancel this whack membership so how about you get NOTHING! And lose a good customer. Well, not just one good customer but I am now calling family & friends advising them to cancel as well.

This is a huge and beautiful 24 hour fitness. Unfortunately, the maintenance is pretty poor. Truthfully, I did go on a Sunday which is ALWAYS the worst for basic maintenance because it is a slow day with minimal staff. However, the men's locker room had a really gross, backed up sink and the urinals were a mess. I counted 8 pieces of gum sitting on the drain as I used it.The paper towel dispensers were out except for one. As I went to get one this old man was pulling out at least 12 feet of paper towels! Seriously? I asked him why he needed that much and just got an annoyed grunt.Really dude, that's why the other machines were out! I see this happen often with old guys, they're the worst.Other than that it is a pretty nice gym. The cardio equipment is in good working order, no signs on machines. They also have a lot of nice machines so I'm guessing this one isn't too terrible during the weeknight rush.They also had signs warning of car break-ins in the parking lot. That is great that they warn people. I see people leave their wallets and other valuables right on the front seats of their cars all the time! Your safety outside the gym is your responsibility. It's nice they try to warn their clients.

"Beware".. criminal element Hangout by the front entrance and surrounding as a lookout while they break into your vehicle. My car radio was stolen in plain sight as you can see in the photo white Ford explorer... Security cameras signs are posted but are not facing the 24/7 fitness... Been to three of these fitness centers in the area by far this is the dirtiest

Love this gym its always clean and you never really have to wait to long for the machines..

I love this gym!! They have the very best equipment, the Staff is very friendly and helpful, plus their Personal Trainers are of the highest caliber!!!!
