24 Hour Fitness at Lancaster, CA, is a well-equipped facility offering essential fitness amenities, including saunas, steam rooms, pools, and a variety of workout machines. A round-the-clock operation makes it convenient for all schedules. However, the gym faces numerous challenges, including cleanliness issues, equipment disrepair, and overcrowding, particularly following the closure of nearby locations. The dedicated and friendly staff receive mixed reviews, with some members expressing satisfaction while others highlight management and service deficiencies.

Despite an extensive range of amenities, the gym's environment can feel chaotic with a lack of rule enforcement and insufficient maintenance. While some members praise the community and facilities, many point out hygiene and organizational problems that detract from their overall experience. A commitment to rigorous cleaning and improved resource allocation could significantly enhance the gym's reputation.

I had to enter an inpatient rehab program, and they would NOT put my account on hold. I already paid for the whole year their is no reason to worry I'm not going to pay my dues. I cant fathom a more appropriate reason to allow someone to pause their account. I believe they just want the free monthly payments. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Whoever is managing this gym should be fired immediately. For the high rates that are paid, this gym is sorely lacking. They have a total of 1 cycling class twice a week, and keep the cycling room locked like there is gold stashed in there. If you are not going to hire people to do the cycling classes, to the volume that every other gym does, which is a couple classes a day, at least leavethe room open so people who want to ride when there is no class, can do so, and don't have to use the 3 broke bikes up front. Why is it that every other gym manages to leave their cycling room open, except for this one gym? If you are going to restrict access to certain parts of the gym, then please discount my fees, because when I signed up I was told I could use the bikes in the cycling room. And please hire more maintenance personnel, especially for the bathrooms.

This is a good gym, Brenda and the Ladies that work here are beautiful nice and helpful. They have everything you need to get a great work out it has all the equipment heavy weights you need to get in the best shape of your life the rest is up too you. The sauna, spa, pool, and steam room are excellent. It used be better before covid, and before the special deals. Now the #1 issue is extreme over crowding during peak hours, if you have patience you can manage. Also there’s a lot of old Karen’s that think this place is there day spa, so if your Brown,Black, young or look rough plus tattoos some ppl might think your rude or trouble, when your just trying to get a good work out. Believe me they are nosey and complain about everything. Yeah there’s some arguments and fights but what do you expect from testosterone fueled teens and men playing sports and working out? It’s not butterfly’s and flowers it weights, sweat, blood, and tears. Wish there wasn’t so many ppl but it’s convenient and has everything I need.

I paid for my gf's membership last year, and she didn't want it this year. So I canceled trying to call and get a ahold a manger multiple times BEFORE the due date. Not only that, I had a new credit card I got in April of 2023 and never gave them my new number. Yet, they said I verified it February of 2023...how is that possible if the card didn't exist yet? And that's the card they charged without my permission, and I'm disputing them with my bank for fraud. The manager was a complete joke and was insanely rude saying that since the date passed I could not get refund. This place is also is insanely under kept with ghetto shirtless kids running around the entire gym and starting fights in the basketball courts with cops coming in all the time.

Much better, I can tell they had a better lady cleaning.

Literally just a place to stand around. The parking lot and every area in the gym is PACKED. People just stand around in the pool talking instead of actually working out and swimming. I would avoid this location if I were you..

This is my first review EVER on any business. Definitely the worst 24 hour fitness I have ever been to. Basketball courts slippery as an ice skating rink I know of multiple people that hoop here and have had injuries because yal neglect the gym floors. Recently there has been issues inside the courts and instead of management figuring it out they close the basketball courts instead of faulting the people who caused the problem. If I only had this 24 fitness to depend on I would be pissed because this the only inside courts people can go to out here. I know most people only go here for the basketball courts now it’s like a waste a money because you can’t even use all the amenities. Literally the only 24 I know that close the basketball courts. But im going to stop there I can go on and on.

This gym has continued to degrade over the last 2 years but the level of deterioration has significantly increased in the last 8 months. There are a few reasons for this:1. The gyms policy allowing members to bring in friends for free, lowering cost to get new members has caused overcrowding and has allowed people to come to the gym who have no interest in following the rules, being gym members or part of a gym community.2. There is no enforcement of the rules; people come in here wearing inappropriate clothing; jeans, button shirts, no shirts/shirtless (young teenagers flexing) paying no respect to the equipment/not putting weights back/not re-racking or unloading equipment, not wiping off the equipment they have sweated on, bringing in basketballs and multiple gym shoes/gym wear and leaving this in others workout space, and bringing in their gym bags where they are able to steal gym equipment (there are very few 10lbs plates as they have been stolen).3. They allow teenagers/12 and over (no supervision, no understanding of gym rules or gym etiquette/respect) who congregate, talking, often horse playing or on their phones rather than using the equipment. There is no sense or respect to finish timely to allow others to use it, this makes working out difficult at best and certainly frustrating.4. This gyms basketball court has for quite some time been a location of recurring and escalating problems that affects both members and staff. However it is increasingly becoming a hotbed of dangerous activity and is the catalyst for most of the negative gym member issues. The sheriff department has been called numerous times for thefts, fights, gang activity/intimidation, and gun violence. The court is again currently closed (temporarily) due to this negative activity. This is well known problem amongst staff and most members, I wonder is it going to take an act of violence that results in injuries or death to members or staff before serious actions are taken?Has the corporation considered the impending litigious situation they are so very close to being involved in? Is it going to take injury, death, and a lawsuit for the Corporation to realize that this “liability” needs to close for good? Why not be proactive and create and area that would interest members/the community in other types of weight/strength or cardiovascular training, benefiting the community and members of all ages, shapes, and sizes. And it continues to get worse…today (8/6/2023) I witnessed a member vaping in the gym (not the first time) and when I confronted him telling him “that’s not allowed” he angrily stated “Do I have a problem”?I know the manager and staff here care about these problems. They care about members who follow the rules and are respectful of others and gym policies. But they can do little to change the environment or enforce rules if 24 Hr. Corporate doesn’t acknowledge the issues and give them the support, tools, resources, ability, authority and backing to enforce the rules and correct the problem members.

I give this location 3 stars because it isn’t a terrible facility. The issues with it are lack of machinery although it is a high volume location due to the nearest 2 closing down. They should bring in a lot more equipment to avoid anymore fights over weights and machinery. Not only that but a lot of the equipment they currently have is missing labels so you don’t really know what you’re lifting or breaks often. They should really look into this as swift as they closed the other two locations down. The growing fights and weapons being pulled out on members should be a hint enough they need to bring in more equipment and weights quickly.Other then that, the facility stays clean. The family bathrooms are very great to have, and the crew at this time is very nice, accommodating, and professional. The bigger issue is offering 24/7 amenities then locking them up. The family bathrooms get misused as do the normal bathrooms and equipment. If you’re going to take those away from the late night patrons, you may as well give us out money back when we pay just like everyone else does and should be offered the same. I don’t see equipment getting closed off due to misuse and that’s every single day. Ridiculous.I hope these changes can be made for members to truly get the most out of their membership money whether monthly or annual.
