Amped Fitness (Pinellas Park)

I had a training contract and gym membership. After 6 months, I moved close to Dunedin and could no longer afford almost $400 a month for training and gym membership. Tried to talk to staff about what I could do and possibly canceling membership and was rudely told need to pay $706 cancellation fee!!! If I cannot afford monthly fee how was I to afford cancellation fee? The staff was rude and unprofessional. Not willing to work out a plan. Very poor customer service. I would not recommend this gym to anyone. Go to another gym that treats you with respect and values you as a customer.

DO NOT USE THIS GYM. WORST MANAGER I'VE EVER ENCOUNTERED. Manager is committing fraud and coercing clients into contracts they did not agree too. She charged me $500 to cancel a contract I never signed up for and then once canceled, she continued to charge me for training sessions but I never received the service and did not have access to the gym, but continued to get charged.The facilities are gross and people are mean. Take your business elsewhere, don't waste your time.

Nice clean gym. They are very good at fixing the equipment in a timely manner. The staff are all very nice and knowledgeable. My only complaint would be the groups of young kids that hog machines and do more socializing than lifting during busy hours. Other than that, I love this gym and highly recommend it.

This is a good place, it’s big, clean and has ample of equipment for all levels. We had a great time!

The worse Place to workout bar none! Less then one Star actually!!!!…..I will never come back here again. Most of these reviews are from a free energy drink with 5-star review. I’ve been a loyal member here for years and recently had an issue with being pushed by another memeber. Allie threatened to cancel my membership because of my “feminist” stance and because I had questions and had felt threatened. I would start to look elsewhere because this gym has forgotten about its members and has zero customer culture at all it seems. I still have no understanding of the future and how their policy is for being bullied and pushed. I was also told that I was not pushed yet the GM told me she saw it and there was also a gym associate who saw it too, so I guess she changed her mind and decided to take back what she saw. Poor, inexperienced leadership to be running this gym. No one responded to my email and I had to reach out to the CEO who basically told me nothing. Start looking. This place is starting to decline and is getting way too crowded.

Gym has gone downhill in regards to professionalism. Front desk seem to hate their lives and staff has their kids running around but yet members’ kids need to be in the daycare next door? Seem hypocritical but that’s just me. Gym equipment is good overall and price is decent.Update: Their training manager does not wash her hands. I know this isn’t a restaurant but that’s just nasty. I’ve caught her on multiple occasions, skipping the sink. Please tell me she does not touch the equipment in the gym…

Been a member for 4 years now. Place is clean and maintained properly. When an equipment breaks, they fix it as soon as they can.Staff are helpful and pretty laid back but still are watching out for weirdos that come into the gym. Hope the current staff sticks around.The staff can’t do everything especially during non staffed hours. If the place gets messy or dirty, it’s usually because some scumbag can’t pick up their water bottles or re-rack their weights.

Gym is small, overpacked, equipment is broken a lot of the time. Wont let you cancel your membership unless you go to the location. I moved 150+ miles away and they are making it a pain to cancel the membership. A lot of better gyms in the area, stay away from Amped

If you sign up and want to down grade your package it is a 25.00 fee no one ever told me that. Not really happen with this place right. I will probably just cancel since it's not worth it.
