Amped Fitness (Pinellas Park)

Really 0 stars. The most scammy, deceitful place I’ve ever regrettably given into. Employees play basketball over guests’ heads when you walk in, they have the children of the employees running around, and by itself, it’s an absolute money trap. Personal training is a joke. All trainers care for is the money, but mask it to be about “personal goals”. They all talk poorly about one another, their clients, and the guests. They don’t tailor it to each person, but feed standardized bullcrap that leads to weight gain. You’re treated like an object and only seen as a paycheck. DONT GO HERE. It’s demeaning and a money grab.

My oldest daughter has a membership there and she takes me with her occasionally so that I can work out a little bit.I have been to the you know big fitness chain before you know the purple and yellow one you know who I'm talking about folks.I'm telling you Amped Fitness is a lovely place to be I truly enjoy the music and the atmosphere and the energy of not just the other members they are working out but of the staff. The Ladies room / shower area or whatever that is there is always so nice and clean. I am telling you people if you are a gym person this is the gym you should be members of.

I will say I’m not a member, I usually go with my fiancé. It’s always something every time we go. Now, you have to sign a waiver every single visit and they hold on to your license. Guest privilege ends at 8 even though there are 5 employees behind the counter at 8:15. Not to mention, every time we go something different is always broken. By the way, they are giving a free Celsius to people in return for a google review so don’t be fooled.

Decent equipment selection, but rarely feels clean there. The cable towers are rusty and grimy, plus pins holding the seats in place are broken. Just feels like shoddy equipment.Only saw one staff member ever swapping out sanitation rags for clean ones. Most of time they are just milling about the front desk. They are friendly enough though.Cancelled my membership when a better gym opened up closer to me. I was on the VIP plan and they charge you $70 for an annual fee after the first two months of your membership. If you’re thinking about cancelling, they require a 30 day notice and will charge you for an additional month even if you don’t plan on going back (like myself).2/5 stars because it served its purpose, but it could be a lot better if they cleaned the gym floor/equipment and got some better ventilation in the building. Not a ceiling fan or rotating standing fan in sight.

A solid if not a little packed gym to get your workout in. I do enjoy using the VIP back area to get in some sets on the wall rack system, but wish that the outdoor spot had a little more variety of weights for use.

It’s clean and open 24 hours. I like to go to the gym during the overnight hours which, luckily for me, happens to be the only time Amped Fitness isn’t a complete mob scene. If you like to workout at peak times, I’d suggest finding somewhere that isn’t so packed.

Used this gym while on vacation here. Can’t say enough how nice the staff were and how accommodating they were to us. Gym is super nice, great music, everything you need!

Absolutely.. great customer service! Met the manager Allie.. wonderful and the guys behind the counter Dean great customer service. And asst. manager, Joseph awesome as well! I’ve been coming here for two years and this team makes you feel important! Thank you so much!

I just sign up for this place, everything they telling on the table it is setup, inside is dirty, anything that l touch is sticky, anything that you laying floor dirty man!!! ,I also sing up work with trainer, trainer told me you have full service, l gave them 2 time my email, they forgot and lost my email address,And they don’t tell you until you sign up there policy, if you want cancel they charge you more for you cancel agreement. If you do not pay extra cancel they keep charging you. It is been long time l didn’t have time to go gym. So keep looking better place and better service an more as more trust service.

I’ve just had the most unacceptable, discriminatory experience with Amped Fitness.I went to the Tyrone location to ask about a $64 charge on my account, after giving my info he explained that was their “yearly membership”. This was unexpected but understandable but unfortunately it put my account in a bad spot.He then decided to give me financial advice and told me "if I had my finances in order I should have known that money was going to be take out of my account."Although I told him that I found that offensive and would like to cancel my membership altogether he said that unless I pay everything he couldn’t do anything and then proceeded to give me a 47yr old woman life advise that maybe if I had my things together this wouldn’t happen.
