John Reed Fitness in Los Angeles offers a unique gym experience with its vibrant decor, modern equipment, and upbeat atmosphere. The facility feels like a blend of a nightclub and an art gallery, enhanced by live DJ sessions during workouts. The gym’s high energy and diverse setup appeal to many, fostering a dynamic space for fitness enthusiasts.

The gym excels in cleanliness, equipment variety, and an inclusive environment. While the staff generally receives positive remarks, there are occasional complaints of unfriendliness. The exciting decor and reliable equipment make JR a great place to workout. Plus, they have several other amenities that make membership a bargain.

This place is amazing. I got a tour from the sweetest most helpful & beautiful girl named Ivy. Signed up two days ago. Music was a bit repetitive but otherwise it's fabulous.

It’s a pricy Gym but it’s worth it. Very clean and organized. It has the steam spa and individual shower booth and keyless locker room. I love to go to work out. :)

Wow! This gym is amazing! Major David Barton vibes from NYC and Miami in the 90’s. Love it. It’s impeccably decorated, the layout is spacious and the equipment is gorgeous. Can’t wait to use all the amenities when the final Covid restrictions are lifted. The music was a great vibe too, didn’t even need to use my AirPods. Clientele seemed to exhibit gym etiquette and put equipment back where it belongs and the space was kept tidy. Hard to tell if it will stay this way because it’s so new and not too busy, but I’m definitely gonna make this my new permanent gym location. Now let’s get some other locations around LA (Weho/Hollywood). Welcome to DTLA John Reed Fitness!!

Mask enforcement is getting really bad here. At almost anytime 30-60% of patrons are walking around without a mask even on their person, and the staff on the floor doesn’t say anything. I’ve sent multiple messages asking about enforcement policies and I have never gotten a response. Otherwise, I’ve enjoyed my gym experience since being a member, but it’s getting close to a tipping point with how many inconsiderate people are trickling in now.

The gym is not open yet. Not sure how other people were charged during covid closure when the one and only club in the US is still to be officially open for public once the restrictions are lifted. This is a gym that I discovered accidentally while having a walk in DTLA and I was impressed by the design and the original concept. The customer repesentative who was at the club when I walked in offered a tour and provided all the required information. Can't wait for this gym to open!!
