Worth the price when you consider it’s not too crowded to get a hood workout in but still full of great eye candy. Decor is a lot of fun. The classes are great too!

Their monthly membership is not actually monthly until you request them you want to cancel. They keep withdrawing money and there is no explanation on their app or their website. This gym is a Scammer just like other gym.

Great Gym! The only negative, is that people hog the machines put towels on top of them and what not while others are trying to use it. The staff members up there seem to just sit all day and let this happen.

One of the only gyms that doesn't allow someone under 18 because of the quote on quote "music". You shouldn't have to navigate to the FAQ page just to see that.My friend drove an hour and half to come lift with our group who traveled in from another state to have fun. It is ridiculous they couldn't be lenient regarding the situation. They then also insulted my friend and were very rude to him when telling him to leave. The treatment was unfair and disrespectful

Beats Equinox anyday. Top of the line equipment. I feel like the VIP of the nightclub walking to the workout area. Not to crowded also and employees as well as members are kind and respectful. Wish they validate parking for 3 hours though.

Biggest problem of this gym is parking. Only 2 hours, it's not enough! 120 minutes, ok, let's count:5 minutes walk to gym + check in10 min change cloth20 min warming90 min workout30 min shower, sauna, change clothTotal 150 minutes and we do not talk, about visit juice and chill mode, no man harry up you have 5 minutes valuation, that's crazy for premium gym.And Of course in middle of train, warmed and sweated, bitwin sets, running to your car and do lap of parkingWe need 4 hours of comfortable workout and in this time I don't want count how many minutes until valuation, and I don't wanna pay 7$ x 10 day = 70$ itch train for unsecured parking on street side.how will increase parking time up to 4 hours, write under this comment, and I‘l be back

I love this gym. Relaxing, never over-crowded, and beautifully designed space. The equipment is all brand new and in good working order and there is plenty of space to do whatever workout I want.my only complaints are that they don’t provide large towels for the showers and that people are allowed to have cell phones in the sauna. There are often people in there blasting music over the provided music or watching videos/on FaceTime calls without headphones. I definitely don’t want to accidentally show up half naked in someone’s video call!Edit: in the past few months the gym has gotten a lot busier and the clientele has gotten increasingly rude and inconsiderate; far more than I’ve experienced in other places. For example: there were 4 people in the sauna, 3 meditating and 1 on Instagram going through stories with the volume at max. I asked him if he could please turn the sound off, and he just stared at me….and then ignored me. Another, some people ,not sure if they’re freelance trainers or not, will dump their bags at a squat rack for an hour even if they’re only using it for 15 minutes or so. Once i went to get a 10 lbs plate off the rack because there weren’t any nearby and the guy was on a machine across the gym (and had been for 10 minutes.) He made a point to hurry back across, snap his fingers at me and say “that’s me bro.” That’s just ridiculous.I realize there isn’t much the gym can do to fix that, but it does affect my overall experience so I have to remove a star.

So, I’ve been a member since they’ve opened. Literally the very first to use/touch the machines. Amazing! It was fine and dandy, never crowded, people were great, staff was great, and overall a wonderful workout experience each time. I ended up moving for the summer, canceled my membership, and ended up moving back. Obviously, I’m returning back to this gym as I only had excellent experiences. Second time around, not so great. New staff members, they’re ok but some don’t bother with greeting you even after you’ve greeted them with a good morning or have a good day. There’s one person in particular in the early morning who seems to have an attitude or RBF each time I see them. I won’t mention names or gender, we were all young once. The crowd is very different. Some are inconsiderate and often spend their time recording themselves for the gram. Seriously, they set up with phone stands and all. Some kid in pajamas was using other equipment to hold his phone while he recorded himself doing one exercise and hogging up certain machines. Never worked out. You’ll find a lot of people doing this. Like a lot. I really think management should do something about this as it can be very annoying for us that want to workout and leave. Now for those saying the gym is dirty, it’s not. It’s fairly clean. Myself and others clean up and wipe our machines after each use. However, some people can care less… and leave it musty and sweaty! Classes are amazing, I take advantage of the clases when I can…. Especially cycling. It’s a great gym, I just hate that it’s changed since its grand opening.

TLDR: it’s still the best gym in the downtown area (I’ve toured every gym in the area, fyi) but their perceived inability to keep up with the wear and tear and enforce good-natured community rules/guidelines as the customer base grows is rapidly degrading the quality of the experienceThe good:hands down the best gym I’ve ever attended. The atmosphere, from the aesthetics to the music, makes working out feel fun and refreshing to me. There is a wide range of equipment which makes it easy to add variety to your workouts. I credit JR for my being able to stick to a consistent workout routine and drop close to 20lbs (!!!) in the past year. I literally renewed my lease downtown mainly because I didn’t want to have to find another gym.The gym is very clean. The locker rooms are well kept. I love the staff. I’m not the type who needs someone to greet them every day but I’ll admit it does make me feel welcomed and motivated to return when I have multiple positive interactions with the staff every time I attend. Honestly, if I wrote this review 4 months ago it’d have been 5 stars but things have begun to change over the past few months…The bad:1. Inevitably JR’s popularity has exploded and, although I love that for them and want the gym to be successful, this popularity has come with a degradation of the quality of the experience. Equipment is breaking frequently and it seems the gym struggles with the upkeep. For example, one of the barbells broke and now they've been missing a barbell for what feels like a few months. Idk if it’s because of the German equipment that makes it hard to repair/replace in a timely manner but paying $130/month and realizing you can’t use an entire squat rack because there literally isn’t a barbell available for it is kind of insane to me. Imagine a gym saying “sorry we don’t have enough barbells for our equipment”2. it is frustrating seeing outside trainers train their clients in the gym. They hog equipment and take up space. There’s one guy in particular who literally sits on top of the dumbbells on the dumbbell rack while training his client. Like why? You know people will be using those or need to use those and you’re not even working out. Least you could do is not get in the way of others who are. This also means that the gym is more crowded than it should be because multiple people are in the gym for multiple hours because they do their workouts and then stay (or come back) to train their own clients. I noticed a sign recently asking people not to do private training but, considering I still see people doing private training, it seems it’s not enforced.3. Lastly, there are now some obnoxious people attending the gym and the staff does not hold their customers accountable for unacceptable behaviors. For example, a couple of days ago there was a group of guys working out together with their shirts off like it’s Venice Beach. Admittedly, though obnoxious, there’s nothing inherently wrong with that. What is unacceptable, at least in my eyes, is that these gentlemen were hanging their shirts and hoodies over equipment that they were not using. There’s a rack in the weight room that holds various types of bars and these guys were literally using it as a closet. It’s perplexing why anyone would wear a hoodie to a gym in 80 degree weather, just to remove it and then hang it all over the gym when they have a locker room but it’s ultimately on JR’s staff to make sure everyone’s being good community members and they're failing at this miserably as the gym grows.Ultimately I would still recommend this gym but, at the rate things are going, in ~6 months my recommendation could change.

I would like to know when the West Hollywood location is going to opening? Also, if the long time 24 hours fitness members, are going to have a break on the price. I like the happy crowd from the Weho community. They don't complain much. It's all about real people that truly workouts, wants to stay health, enjoying a good sunny Californian day by the pool and making friends.
