This gym is INCREDIBLE. It literally blows all of the other gyms out of the water. The atmosphere, equipment and amenities can’t be matched. The membership cost is also great. It has a nightclub vibe so I actually look forward to going lol. Highly recommend.

My impression so far is this gym is sloppy and I haven't even gotten to step foot in it yet, but here's my experience so far:1) Call their phone number to inquire about membership. I get an automated response that says "Join today for $100 per month. Sign up Online."Great! I prefer my first interaction with a business to be with a person, but it's a gym so you can't expect too much with regard to customer relations/service. I go online and membership is now $130. So 30% markup from their stated price. Okay fine, the inconsistency is annoying but I'll try it out.2) I go to register an account. There are no listed password requirements so my first attempt gets rejected by a separate error screen informing me I need at least 8 characters. I go back, and re-enter all of my information again. My second attempt gets rejected because I need a number. I go back again, and re-enter all my information. My third attempt gets rejected because I need to include a special character. So AGAIN, I go back and re-enter all my information. My FOURTH attempt gets rejected again because the special character I selected is not one of their approved special characters. Now, I'm too frustrated to do this again and instead wrote this review.If these basic administrative tasks are this lacking, I can only imagine their actual equipment maintenance, payment management, CRM, and more complex management structures are a mess.Edit: After reading the reviews from others who have experience with high-end/luxury gyms and take notice of the details, it seems that the red flags and gaps in these "small things" do translate into the operations of the gym itself. Just something to take note of--high end clientele expect top-notch execution.

This place is incredible! I've worked out at most LA gyms, and this is far better than all of them. Awesome staff, brand new equipment, and a total jungle nightclub vibe. Way better than Equinox and much more affordable.

Ok place to work out. Front desk staff is nice, but they are practically the only staff. I have never seen a Member Advisor or General Manager, I don’t believe, which helps lower overhead, but it is definitely lacking professional structure.Having spent several years at different Equinox locations, as a member and Employee, I appreciate John Reed, but I know they could do a lot better.Having also been a designer and interior architect for enough time, I know when a space and company ‘VALUE ENGINEERS’ their designs. John Reed spent a lot on decor but cut corners, elsewhere. I wish their was a larger warm up area. A warm up is a very important part of a workout and padded ‘roll out/stretch area’ allows for 2-3 people to comfortably occupy. If it was Equinox, considering total Square footage of space, at least 10-12 people would be able to warm up.There is no towel service but saunas and showers, with locker room, is now available. It’s no Equinox or LAAthletic Club but leaps ahead of Golds or 24 Hours.

First day here, facility is nice and clean for now since it’s new. Aesthetically it is top notch...parking is validated.Ladies at the front could use an attitude adjustment though.I walked in and all 3 of them just stare at me like I’m some random, no greeting, or smiles whatsoever. If it’s the first week of your grand opening, not the best way to welcome new customers.Wanted to give this place a shot, hopefully the energy changes, but will most likely go back to equinox where customers are treated well. JR charges 1/2 less, but is still pretty up there in terms of pricing, considering how much other facilities charge...if they want to be considered a high end/luxury gym, then they should consider investing in the type of talent that offers a positive experience at minimum.

This place is a vibe, not sterile like some other gyms which look more like hospitals. The instructors are high energy with lots of class options. Equipment is all brand new too! All of that aside, the biggest draw is the no contract membership. Hopefully they keep memberships in check otherwise I could see this place getting crowded quickly.

Excellent gym with amazing ambience and scenery. When you walk down into the work out area it feels like you’re stepping into a high end night club with a bunch of high end gym equipment.The trainers and customer service agents are real courteous and professional. It’s a great place that’s motivated me to workout daily. Not too crowded and the setups are really spaced out very well.Wish there was a pool and basketball court but overall it’s still an amazing workout spot.

I don’t even know where to start, first the gym it’s self is gorgeous. The machines are amazing, gym is always clean, the decor is eye catching and popping. The DJ booth adds a fun touch especially to pump you up.The classes are great! I was never into spin but I took Michael’s class he was exactly what I needed to spice up my routine from boring cardio.My absolute favorite though is the staff Julia, Dana and ALL the staff are just simple amazing. It’s a nice feeling when they know you by name, face always smiling greeting you. To me customer service anywhere is a big deal. I love coming in joking with them having conversation. They are always so positive, VERY friendly to ALL members.Rob is an amazing manager, very professional, very friendly also, and most importantly very inventive with any problem or issue you may have. It’s not easy to run a gym this size!!I am a very happy loyal customer love this place !!!
