John Reed Fitness in Los Angeles offers a unique gym experience with its vibrant decor, modern equipment, and upbeat atmosphere. The facility feels like a blend of a nightclub and an art gallery, enhanced by live DJ sessions during workouts. The gym’s high energy and diverse setup appeal to many, fostering a dynamic space for fitness enthusiasts.

The gym excels in cleanliness, equipment variety, and an inclusive environment. While the staff generally receives positive remarks, there are occasional complaints of unfriendliness. The frequent filming by influencers can also disrupt regular workouts. The lack of women's locker room separation and limited machine maintenance are notable drawbacks.

Pros:

  • Unique and artistic gym design
  • Inclusive and diverse environment
  • Live DJ sessions elevate the workout experience
  • Friendly and helpful staff
  • Clean and well-maintained facilities
  • Top-notch German-made equipment
  • Great variety of classes with excellent trainers
  • Spacious setup with plenty of workout options
  • Easy billing and online reservations
  • Positive, motivating atmosphere

Cons:

  • Crowded during peak hours
  • Some staff members can be unfriendly
  • Frequent filming by influencers can be disruptive

Really wanted to come try out this gym because I like the Golds Gym brand and I live nearby, but I can’t justify spending $40 on a single day pass to potentially not like the gym. People who live in a certain radius to the gym should be able to try it for a day to get a feel for it and compare it to other local gyms.EDIT: Obviously you’re not Golds Gym, but you are RSG Group, which is also Gold’s Gym. Which is why I mentioned it. Also, every gym is “members only”, hence wanting to experience the facility before paying money for a “membership” agreement. Would you buy an expensive car before doing your research and test driving it? I didn’t think so. Thanks for the reply, mate. “:-)”

This gym is awesome! I love the design and the fresh smell! Everything is clean always! The only thing I would say is that is missing bigger towels for the showers. But I still love it and it’s one of the best gym I’ve ever been!
