Great old looking local gym. Old white neighborhood people come in the morning that want to know everybody lmao they might try to greet you lmao. I like it at night it’s like a private gym not to crowded I like it.

The only thing here is manager is very unprofessional and she is very good liar, i ask her to wave my late fees in courtesy as my card was stolen and i block the same, so she said to me go tht branch where i took the admission, what a stupid answer.... i went to other branch on west 125th and manager there was really friendly and helpful that she understands and wave the late fee immed.. we r paying you so learn some respect u nvr sound like a manager, ur juniors are more professional then you

I’m giving one star because they took out the mirrors. How can people see whether they are working out the right way or not. I feel like seeing results while looking at the mirror does make a difference. It feels like being in a jailhouse.

It's a great, simple facility. No bells or whistles here. Can usually find parking and it's usually not crowded. Machines are basic but what can you expect for the price?

The gym under went a makeover recently which added improved cardio equipment that have TV capabilities. A plus to the improvement.The negative point l like to point out is the fact that this gym isn't handicap friendly for men.As for the woman with such physical limitations the locker room accommodations are on the first floor. Prior to the renovations there was a handicap bathroom with lockers. Those were removed. The only access to a changing area is via a steep set of stairs to the second floor.Prehaps things will once again return as they were.

Ah, yes. The good old Planet Fitness in Pelham Bay. I just got back from the gym. Let me give you an idea of the PF experience. The first three ellipticals that I got on tonight didn't work. The first one made banging noises, the second one squeaked, and the third one had one side that moved slower than the other... but the fourth one was justtttttt right... kinda. There were about 30 brown paper towels all over the gym floor. There never clean that place. In fact, every single time that I go there, they never put the paper towels in the dispenser. It's always sitting on a wet counter and the bottom is always wet. That's disgusting! What's the dispenser for, looks? Tonight, they didn't even have ANY paper towels at all. It's been like that for about a week. I said, why are there 30 pieces of paper on the floor, but none in the locker room? God, that place sucks. They really don't take care of it, and the staff just sits around talking all day. The worst is the music they play, and God forbid you come at night, all they play is that horrible rap music where they mumble and say the same words over and over again. Anyway, what do you expect for $10 a month, right? Oops, this is a judgmental free zone. I forgot!

I lost 52 lbs and finally feel good about myself. I typically go at 5am and the crowd at 5 am sure very friendly and the gym is clean. This past week the gym has been closed due to remodeling and can't wait to see what has been done. I only wish they would extend the gym into the useless parking lot and make that area just for free weights.

Love my work outs, comfortable environment, no one all into what you are doing, staff are very friendly.

Terrible, i witnessed an employee get mistreated i was very shocked and a little hurt TBH, " JUDGEMENT FREE ZONE" I don't think so.They have a terrible manager and they also need better staff members.Dolphin Gym and LA Fitness is a lot better and they know how to treat members the right way.
