Local here. I've been to many of the NYC clubs, and this one stands out for passive aggressive, unpleasant staff, and harried experience. Examples: 1. Locker room cleaner was mopping (bucket of dirty mop water), inched closer and closer to my bare feat, and just decided to go for it and run the wet dirty mop over my feat. I was shocked...why would someone do that?!? I called him out, and instead of apologizing, he argued about needing to mop the floor. 2. Passive aggressive front door staff who apparently think some people don 't belong there (may I help you sir, may I help you sir, sir, sir, may I help you...NO, I'm a club member and just enjoying my paid-for club!) 3. Aggressive floor staff who have no issue getting up into your immediate workout and personal space (to clean, I guess?); aggressive class instructors with no personal skills. All in all, leads to an unpleasant and stressful experience, which is exactly the opposite of what Equinox purports to offer. I would be tempted to think it's me, but I've been to many NYC clubs, and generally they don't have any of these issues. Chalking it up to poor management, as these are clearly operational issues. I hope they change out management and seriously review their customer service practices. Lastly, while the views are amazing, the layout is cut-up and awkward (function of the views I suppose), so even the actual functioning of the club isn't great. Just my 2 cents. I would love to love it, after all I pay the premium for it! I've had some nice lunches in the bar/cafe area (those folks were actually quite nice). But given the above-mentioned issues and not wanting to have an afternoon workout ruined by some staff member, I tend to go elsewhere.

Came to take a tour of this gym before I decided to commit. I was given a tour by the manager I believe, Samantha. The whole time her attitude was just very condescending and not friendly. I’m visibly muslim and a covered women and not sure if that was what was bothering her or if she was just having an off day but the whole tour she had her arms crossed and not very engaging at all or welcoming. Not sure if she thought we weren’t serious about joining or poor or what 😅 but I just didn’t like her attitude. It’s upsetting because the gym itself was amazing and the front desk staff was great and nice but Samantha was just not the nicest.

Suggestion for the pool: some people are slow swimmers and not comfortable having 3 people lapping in one lane. Why not have one lane with a register, so people who don’t like lapping can put their name down on the register and wait for their turn.

Best gym in nyc! Best equinox. I am a lap swimmer and love a good hot tub so I joined mid-covid. There is no place like it in the city with indoor and outdoor pools, hot tub sauna steam room too. The cons are that you can starve here if you get hungry; the restaurant only open in summer and tiny menu. The Juice Press sells no solid food, only bottled juice and acai bowls with no fresh fruit. The entitled crowd here often does not behave well, leaving tampon debris on the shower floor, spreading legs wide open in sauna, parading in itty bitty bikinis in locker room and pool area (they do not do this at greenwich ave or printing house)! But i get that management can not control that lol.

I went to Hudson yards and it was nice but rather concerning as an equinox yorkville client. This message is intended for the manager of Hudson yards to drive awareness of the conditions of other gyms that are swimming in flies. How can there be such a difference in quality. Would the customers of Hudson yards shower with flies?I encourage other members to goto this location to see what we are missing. Equinox Hudson yards is good but as a member of equinox yorkville in Toronto I would appreciate it if the manager of this gym could call and let the manager of yorkville know that I have yet to hear back about the flies in the showers here in the yorkville location. I don’t really have an interest in a gym with flies coming from the shower drains and the manager Breanna Perkins Weston does not respond adequately to members and this can be seen throughout most reviews. All of our member dues clearly goto Hudson yards.

I love this location but around 4-9pm it gets insanely crowded on the weekdays, is crowded during summer, 2 outdoor cold plunge tub, lots of areas to sit, there's only one indoor hot tub next to the pool and one cold tub, during winter is less crowded also 2 outdoor sauna for 6 people each, lounge area is the fanciest looking of all equinox in the city in my opinion, wish it was bigger.

I cannot say enough good things about Equinox!! This is our go to Hotel every year moving forward! The gym and spa are exceptional, the Skyline room was better than we expected with an amazing nighttime view. Every staff member went above and beyond to ensure our stay was excellent, and it was!! Andy was a standout, I’m not even sure how but he remembered my name and always seemed to be around with a genuine interest in our comfort. Well done equinox, we can’t wait to return!

luxury price, but the management and customer service is far from luxury. Their operation management is noooot as friendly as their sales :))))After i notifying the team an issue with charging station, for three hours the management didn’t send anyone to check the station. When i let the manager knows the issue with the amenity and no one is checking the issue for the past 3 hours, and that’s not the service i’m expecting from luxury gym, her response is “that’s an amenity. And the amenity is not the only thing you pay for the membership. ”i’m not happy with her response and let the manager know that i would like to file a report to the cus toner service department. She said she is the manager l. I can just contact her. 🙃The operation manager then asked my phone number, my email. All my personal information and my HOME ADDRESS are just automatically popping up on the screen. She said “so Rockefeller is your home gym huh?”

when you spend 1500 a night for a room you don’t expect to wait 40 plus minutes for a bell hop, after multiple calls and promises from a manager Alexis or Alexa for calls back and service, it never came!! we had 3 rooms there this week and that won’t ever happen again! super disappointed
